“I was interested in refinancing my mobile home that's coming up in May, and I found out community west was the only one in town that can provide the service for mine that's built before 76 after lots of research. My bank advisor and I both spoke to Will on the phone, and we both agreed Will was knowledgeable, professional and very patient with our questions. When I came in to meet him, he drew out the rate plan and calculated all the numbers for me, including one for my current loan to compare. It was amazing how helpful and willing he was to go out of his way to get my questions answered. He also emailed me some form I might need that's not related to applying for a loan with him and offered further help. What an incredible kind gentleman, and I'll definitely apply with him when I need a loan. Thank you for all the help and advices!”
“This branch is the best! They take such good care of their people, even the little guys like me :-) Gwendolyn has been very kind and helpful to me through the many difficulties I have faced as a new business owner. Louis, the store manager is very present, responsive and he always has the answers we need :-)I also just started payroll with their partner company Paychex, and so far it has been GREAT with them as well. Again, as a new business owner, they have treated me with respect and class as well as provided me an excellent service with patience and enthusiasm.It means a lot to me, to be treated well. I had learned not to trust banks, but mechanics is different. I guess there may have been some biases too, my dad worked at Midstate for years when I was growing up (Midstate is Pre-Mechanics Bank).Anyway, TWO THUMBS UP for this branch of Mechanics Bank. ❤️ The other branches are fine too, but this branch is the best.”
“Credit Unions tend to be so much more homey and down to earth, and this one fits the bill. The staff are casual yet very knowledgeable and informed and helpful. (Not that it matters but the location is beautiful and so is the building as well) The one problem is the limited number of blue placard (handicapped) parking places, but mainly it is very difficult to get into the front door if you are in a wheelchair or stroller or walker. It is old and not handicap friendly building.”
“I've banked at most of the big banks since I was a teenager, what a mistake! I'm glad I found SBCFCU, I've had the best banking experience with them. They knew me by name within the first month of banking there. I should have left the big banks long ago, but unfortunately I also own my own business and this credit union doesn't offer commercial banking.”
“This review is about an employee of this bank. Brae is one of the finest people you could ask for to handle your banking. She goes above and beyond and is incredibly competent. That is a rare gem to find these days. She cares, is personable and goes out of her way to give you excellent five star service. When Brae retires I will have to find another bank as she has set the bar so high no others can shine that brightly”

“Super friendly bankers. They always say every time I walk in. I like that the ATM's can be accessed with your Apple phone now. And you can get 5's and 20's from this location. I don't believe all locations have this option. It's within walking distance of my office which makes it the most convenient branch in my day to day. I've mostly used the ATM's. Haven't had to work with the bankers much. I want to keep it that way!!”
“When I moved to Goleta, I picked American Riviera Bank mainly because I can walk to do my banking in person. I have loved everyone working there and that includes Quinn. Wish I could remember all employee names!! I see dogs are welcomed but I am a cat person, so would like to see cat posters on a cat day!!! if that's a day celebrated”
“It. Is so important to have local banks and Community West has been a great partner to my businesses for many years. Their customer service is excellent. I notice that the negative posts involve loans that were due. Having small community banks as an alternative to the global conglomerates is central to the well being of smaller towns.”

“I used to live across Fairview from the Fairview branch and then used a branch in Palmdale when I moved there. I kept my WF accounts when I moved to Hawaii because my state contractor payments go there. Wells Fargo has been good in every location I've used them. Maybe their wire fee was slightly higher. There are terrible competing banks in Goleta, Palmdale and Hawaii, and you'd have to be treated badly by those banks to appreciate that Wells Fargo is actually a pretty good bank. It's all relative.”
