Its not just the service, they truly care, they build a relationship. My 2 year old likes going to bank because of the people (and cookies)! Banking is not a thing I usually write a review about, because most of the time what determines a good institution is interest rates, lending etc. Don't get me wrong FRB does well in these departments but what keeps me here is the personal touch, the kind and caring staff, the way they treat every customer whether they have $2 or $20M. This is by far the best bank in Santa Barbara.”

“Credit Unions tend to be so much more homey and down to earth, and this one fits the bill. The staff are casual yet very knowledgeable and informed and helpful. (Not that it matters but the location is beautiful and so is the building as well) The one problem is the limited number of blue placard (handicapped) parking places, but mainly it is very difficult to get into the front door if you are in a wheelchair or stroller or walker. It is old and not handicap friendly building.”

“I never write up banks but I had such a great experience here that I wanted to give them a shout out. SB is Covid-nuts and the requirements for indoor are beyond absurd. So the line was RIDICULOUS. It was 20 minutes! Apparently it's not about square footage (hello: social distance includes DISTANCE which means the giant stores should have different rules). But none of this idiocy is the fault of Wells. The security guard was great. He was open to chatting about why we were being detained in this manner. Of course the day I have a million marks to meet, the line is long. Days I have no time pressure, I walk right in. Turns out they had TWO out of 12 tellers working. Once I got inside I waited another 5 to 8 minutes, so it was 30 total by the time I reached the teller. I just needed a check, which I no longer order. The minute I got to the teller, he apologized for what he knew was an obscene wait. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE DONE RIGHT. Other banks could take a page from the courtesy and professionalism of this branch. My home branch is Pacific Palisades and I love the tellers there. I have no use for that hipsterish security guard, however.”
