“They have everything, including an award winning meat counter. Surprised? So was I. :)
The staff is friendly and efficient, and the store is clean. They have seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese & dairy items, fresly baked bread, canned goods, liquor, and cleaning supplies. Grab your essentials and some tri tip on the way back from Julian!”
“So blessed to have crossed path with this honey shack. We were just on our way to look at some land and passed by this honey vendor and just felt led to check it out. Lots of parking outside but it does feel a bit crammed when there's more then a few people in there. The door is always shut but rest assured if the "we open" sign hanging on the door, they're open :) oh and they're only open on weekends so happy we drove by on a Saturday! Praise GOD!!!
The two people working there were very friendly and knowledgeable. Apparently this shop has been open since 1940 and own by the same family since. I should of asked for their names but been driving for 3 hours and was overwhelmed by the amount of varieties of honey you can sample lol that it slipped my mind. No worries my wife really loved their honey and we need to make another trip here so we will be back!
They make the bee keeper and buckwheat honey here and I was told the buckwheat honey had the highest antioxidants level so that's what I got. Also bought the habanero honey for wife and that goes well with everything.
Price is good. Service is fantastic. Insane amount of selection. It's really far from Los Angeles but was told people drive all the way here for their honey. I really wish they had an online store but will definitely make a suggestion to them next time we visit :)”
“Always excellent meats and some things that you can't get anywhere else on the mountain. Been told Sam is new owner. Will miss Ray but it's the same family and nothing much has changed.Enjoy the Deli.”
