“The staff is so kind and helpful! The front desk is really nice and the vet team is as well. Appreciate they help you figure out next steps for your pet without you feeling forced to go all out and test for everything if you cant afford it. They find a good balance to help your pet one step at a time. Also the wait is always fairly short and reasonable which i really appreciate as well. And they seem to genuinely care and want to help! I had been going to a different vet for years prior until i moved, and i'm shocked at how much nicer and efficient and helpful this vet clinic and staff is. They have helped my dog and cat so much and i'm so thankful!!!”

“This is a great business. They are always friendly, helpful, and professional whether you need an appointment, prescription refill, or just have a question, they are there to help. Our veterinarian was Dr Navia. She is a superb clinician, has great surgical skills and is very gentle with animals. She treated our dog for a bad heart valve and heart failure over a couple of years. When his disease progressed and we decided on euthanasia to prevent suffering she was very skillful at the procedure and provided us emotional support as well. Everyone at the facility is service oriented. You will never feel like you are bothering them and never feel like they are in it for the money. A simply great group of people. As a retired family doctor I give them my best recommendation,”

“I usually end up waiting a very long time past my appointment time before my pet is seen. And I understand that there is usually only one vet working at a time, but if you make an appointment just make sure you set aside at least 2 hours. Otherwise staff is friendly and the vet is great and knowledgeable.”

“The Vets here is amazing. I think they might be stretched thin though. The supportive staff didn't explain how to apply the topical medicine very well and they seemed a little disorganized. It feels like the process needs an office manager to coordinate support staff. Prices alway felt high, but this is my first vet experience, so take that with a grain of salt.”

Dr. Ahmad is always so happy to discuss the intricacies of my dog's health issues and thoroughly explain all of the options available for her. I feel like I learn so much when I'm there and nothing is ever forced on me.I'm also always shocked at the affordability when it comes time to pay, which is a nice change from the shock you get at corporate animal hospitals :] I've also never had to wait more than 5 minutes after appointment time. “In regards to a review about unfair vet prices and preying on pet owners. Veterinary care in general is expensive. My sons dogs ear infection cost him 750 dollars…an ear infection. This is a dog too keep that in mind not an exotic…of course exotic care will cost more their exotics. If you want to talk about preying on the owners… my experience with that cost me 8 months of vet visits and 2 surgeries costing over 3500 dollars only for this so called “rabbit vet” to tell me he doesn’t know what’s wrong. When just 1 visit with Dr. Silpa ( who is an amazing exotics vet) took one look into my little bunnies mouth and quickly diagnosed him with advanced dental disease. If I had taken my bunny there from the beginning over all I would have SAVED money. So it REALLY does matter to find a good QUALITY vet who knows what they’re doing to take care of your special friends.
Fast forward 4 months my bunny has been a happy hoppy bunny and no more roller coaster rides for him thanks to Dr Silpa!”

“we got here at 6:15am and waited 1 hour to get in, signed in and filled out new patient paperwork, then waited another hour in the parking lot for them to call us in. we were honestly shocked to get called in early because we were just here to get our cat spayed and was expecting to wait 4 hours. it cost $240 to get our 7 pound, 1 year old, female cat spayed!”
“I have had two vet visits at Banfield. Both times I saw Dr Chen, who was awesome. She took the time to explain everything and answer all our questions. There was also a vet tech at the first visit whose name I believe was Brian. He was also awesome and took the time to talk to us and explain everything. The receptionist working at the first visit was wonderful, but the receptionist working there at the second visit was rude. Other than that, I highly recommend them.”
“The doctors are great here. We have been going to them 15 years and I feel like they have added years to the lives of my dogs. I had two labs live to be 18 and 17 when both diagnosed with bad forms of cancer. I think the kindest thing they ever did was to do surgery on a little poodle we found that was a mess. Tumor covering her lower body they examined her and said it is not pretty but we can remove it! No promises made but were straight with us that if they did not think they could save they would tell us. They did the surgery and we had a new dog that gave us joy for five more years. The last thing is they are also very compassionate when it is time to say goodbye even when you don't want to. All this makes them the best vet combo ever.”

“I have been going to Dr Tang since the mid '90's, when I had a pet cockatiel with my two sons, and more recently since 2007, when my husband and I got our first dog. He saved our dog, Spencer about 15 years ago. He'd had a seizure out of the blue, when he'd accidentally eaten rat poison outside without our knowing it. Dr Tang not only saved Spencer, but that dog went on to live another 10 years almost! Most recently our dog Popper has some autoimmune disease, and Dr Tang has seen us almost 10 times over the past 2 months, trying his best to figure out how to treat this 7-year-old (young!) dog. We have all the confidence in Dr Tang's ability, expertise, and most importantly in his compassion. As others have mentioned, Dr Tang doesn't have great bedside manner with the humans who visit his practice, but he so obviously cares about our pets (his patients, as he said this morning), that I will keep going to him forever. And he is so reasonable, I sometimes wonder how he stays in business! God Bless Dr Tang!”

“Dr. O’Dwyer and the team are absolutely the best and we are so thankful for everything they have done to care for our 2 senior dogs. We had many visits including annual exams, dental and emergencies throughout the years (since 2018) and we were always given an excellent care during each visit. “I was really happy with their service and flexibility. I went in after walking out of my regular vet because the bill was too high and they would not give me any alternative options. After paying crazy amounts in vet bills for various situations in the past few months I was starting to feel financially manipulated by vets so I shopped around a bit and echo park gave me a rough estimate over the phone and was very flexible in person. I went in twice for follow ups which I might have been afraid to do somewhere else. Very grateful for them accommodating me and my kitty!

“Best place for your animal. Rainbow is the nightmare of places for my animals but when it came to Media city it was a shocker that my own pets actually get excited about going here. I trust them and it's not chaotic in there. They gave recommendations for what my animals need and really told me what's actually recommended while the rest of the offers aren't needed. They're not trying to make money they just want people to have healthy pets. I love you Media we will be returning again soon ?

“We recommend this place completely! Dr. Ancu and the team at Big Tujunga Vet Hospital came to our kitty's rescue when he needed it most. When our kitty, Conway, got sick and stopped eating, they got him in right away and quickly diagnosed the issue (he was in a diabetic ketoacidosis state as he had undiagnosed, sudden onset of diabetes). Along with a host of other issues, our kitty had a grim outlook. Dr. Ancu provided us with so much helpful information to make the best decision for our sweet Conway, and we decided to move forward with treatment.
After 3 days of care in the vet hospital, Dr. Ancu and team stabilized Conway, he started eating, and we were able to bring him home. While it has been a road to recovery, we're now 2.5 months post emergency and the continued care from the whole team has been so impressive! We appreciate how thoughtful, thorough and caring everyone is, and we feel like we have a fully supportive team behind Conway's recovery.

“It's never easy to make the decision to render the ultimate act of love for our pets. Eventually, we come face to face with that reality. Two days ago, we came to that realization for our 12 year old cocker spaniel, Teddy. Over the past few months, we watched him start his decline and helping us along the way was doctor Pershing. Her counsel and expertise were appreciated by us as Teddy showed increased signs of dementia and weight loss. In the end, Dr. Pershing was there for us on the phone and at the last goodbye to our little man. We are grateful to her for her concern for Teddy and us. I am also thankful and appreciative of Barbara in the front office who was compassionate and caring to us during this difficult morning. Rest In Peace Teddy aka Boo.”
