“I’ve only truly loved two veterinary hospitals in my life, and Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital is one of them.
When our newly adopted kitten was diagnosed with FIP, we were devastated. The team at CVH guided us through one of the most stressful experiences we’ve had as pet owners. They carefully managed the necessary testing, medications, and expenses with both professionalism and compassion. Thanks to their excellent care, our kitten is now nearly two years old and has remained in FIP remission ever since.
Beyond their medical expertise, their communication, scheduling, and genuine empathy are exceptional. Every interaction has made us feel like our pets—and our concerns—truly matter.
Most recently, we accidentally showed up on the wrong day for an appointment. Even though the mistake was completely ours, the staff still went out of their way to try to accommodate us. That level of kindness and customer service is rare.
I also want to mention that we used Fetch Pet Insurance during our kitten’s FIP treatment, and it was invaluable in helping cover the significant costs of care. While that’s separate from the hospital itself, it made an incredibly difficult situation much more manageable.
I recommend Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital without hesitation. If you’re looking for a veterinary team that combines outstanding medical care with genuine compassion, this is the place.”
“The team here is great! Dr. Rios detected a heart murmur in my dog early on, and after doing X-rays and getting to the root of what was going on, we were able to start him on Vetmedin to help preserve his longevity and quality of life. He’s now been on the medication for about a year and is doing great—still able to hike, stay active, and live a happy life.
The entire staff is awesome. The office is always clean and organized, and everyone is professional, caring, and helpful. All around a great vet, and I’m very grateful for the care they’ve given my dog. Highly recommend!”

“I never leave reviews but I had to for this veterinarian office because I had such a good experience. I took my duck in for a swollen foot and was worried that I would have to wait a long time and spend a bunch of money since she is considered exotic, boy was I wrong. I made an appointment the day before and only waited about 15 mins when I arrived. The staff was SUPER friendly and understanding. I didn’t feel like I was pushed any procedures and I felt very comfortable. Every single person i talked to really seemed liked they loved their jobs and it shows!!! I highly HIGHLY recommend this office! 10/10, 5 stars. I will be using this vet office for all my pets now.”

“The care for my most recent visit was really good. I brought my very fearful pup in a stroller. Even though she was sedated she was shaking. The tech accommodated us and even took my pup in the stroller into the back to receive services. When I returned an hour later... she was laying down calmly. Huge progress! Every one is great. I need to get the names of the reception folks they are great too. I don't remember the name of the tech this last time she was great too. My dog Ethel was the calmest I've seen her at the vet. What I appreciated most is empathy.”
“My border collie had a sore on his nose for years. My regular vet couldn’t figure it out. Finally, we came here and this vet took one look at my dog and immediately said it’s lupus, very common with border collies. He’s on meds now that cleared it up. Great vet!”

“Coming from our last place this vet is SO much more convenient in terms of travel time and cost. The time taken with our cats (attention to detail, helpful information, tips, answers to questions) were very much appreciated, and while we weren’t there for an overly long amount of time, it felt like a very complete visit with an exceedingly competent staff. Both the techs and Dr Afshar handled our cats with care and skill, and we were given very helpful information on how to handle the weight gain of our chunkier-than-ideal cat who is already an active girl.
A sign that makes me excited to continue coming back to this vet was how they recommended brushing our cats’ teeth—sounds silly but our previous vet didn’t mention it at all and we weren’t aware it was a thing (we learn something new every day!)—and this to me, shows that they aren’t just there to get the payment of future dental cleanings, but actually care about our cats’ overall wellbeing.
The exam room was also exceedingly adorable, the purple platforms on the wall for cats to jump up on really delighted me, and even though our cats weren’t exactly in a jumping mood, they did seem to at least tolerate (if not enjoy) being put up there while we waited between providers coming in.”

“Loved our 1st visit. I got more information that was never provided at the previous vet. My dog was very happy and the vet was patient with him upon examination. He usually puts up a big fight. I’m so glad we switched to West Main.”
“Brought in two dogs in for a spay and neuter. I asked Dr Vasquez if the incision was going to be large on my female because my dog had gained weight and was pretty rotund and I was worried that she would have a ten inch incision like my last dog. He immediately answered: “the incision will be appropriate for the surgery”. A very smart answer!
The incision ended up being really small, like less than two inches in my 35 lb dog. The office is modern and bright, exceptionally clean, and the team there is courteous, excellent and the office is efficiently run. Had to wait for check in and pick up but had an interesting time chatting with the other clients and their pets.”

You can feel that they not only love animals, but also deeply respect and support pet owners during stressful moments.

“I had been looking for a veterinarian for so long because I had had such bad experience. Fortunately, someone recommended La Cresenta pet hospital during Covid. The facility is immaculate. The staff are always friendly and extremely efficient. When you have an appointment, they see you immediately and you never wait too long to see the doctor . I see Dr. Widdup. He is fantastic. He really cares about your dog or cat. Their fees for services are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend!”

Never once made me feel like they were just trying to take my money after just being discharged from the ER with a $2,000 bill. They were ready to take care of my 12 year old doggy that had just been attacked by my bigger dog. “Dr. Liu is A GENIOUS and GREAT VETERINARIAN! He is quick, smart, humorous, and reasonable about what your pet needs and has reasonable prices to match. One of the best concepts he has is DAILY WALK-IN TIMES where if your pet has something that goes wrong, you can be sure to have her or him seen WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT as long as you are there during the two walk-in times. The office is the waiting-room and it is a humble and helpful one usually host to other loving pet owners and people who have many pets. Everyone has a chance to get their animal immediately cared-for and healed here and maintained in health here because of the swift wise actions of Dr.Liu and his medical staff and their very reasonable prices which allow you to continue to care for your animals as you know you should. At the Rosemead Animal Hospital you know that you can afford it and you know that your pet will be seen by a genious veterinarian, Dr. Liu.”

“brought my small Chihuahua to Animal Medical Hospital because she wasn’t feeling well. I want to say that the staff was absolutely nice to both me and my dog. They gave me antibiotics and clear instructions, and I followed everything they told me. My dog improved within the first week, and I was very happy with how well she responded to the treatment.
Her first visit was $233, and a recheck was optional and cost $49. Just a heads-up to ask about the cost of a recheck when making your appointment so you know what to expect.
Overall, I’m very thankful for the care my Chihuahua received. The treatment worked, the staff was kind, and I feel that I received good care for the money. I would definitely recommend them. ❤🐾”
“Dr. Girgis is knowledgeable, patient, and the staff is friendly and patient as well. This is a great place to take cats for life. He examined my two cats thoroughly and asked important questions. He suggested X-rays which showed different issues with one of my cats. He was very thoughtful in his explanation and called me twice, after business hours, just to take questions. I really appreciate the compassion and kindness with us as we tried to digest the news of CKD on our cat.”

“Walked in to request an appointment for Buddy (dog) as I suspected he had an ear infection. They scheduled him in but first prescribed him meds as he needed to take meds 3 hours prior in order to be able to go into his rear and avoid him moving around. Turns out he had an ear infection on both ears do to his allergies so he also needed to get an allergy shot every 4 to 8 weeks. Their service is always the best!”

The sign out front with the fire hydrants is adorable! Though several dogs have told me the hydrants are hard to reach. ?”
