“Every time I arrive at LJCC, I am warmly greeted by a friendly face: I feel very welcomed! The IPhone/IPad class is excellent. Deborah is very patient with all of our questions. I’m excited to be learning Canasta and, again the instructor is excellent. The center is an asset to the La Jolla community’”

“✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨Visiting the Salk Institute for Biological Studies feels less like stepping onto a campus and more like entering a living sanctuary of intellect and discovery.

There is an alluring secrecy woven into the space—an unspoken awareness that behind its quiet walls, some of the world’s most groundbreaking scientific advancements are unfolding. You can feel it. Not loudly, but profoundly. It’s in the stillness of the courtyard, the symmetry of the architecture, the way light meets concrete as if designed to sharpen thought itself.

The energy here is unmistakable—focused, disciplined, and almost reverent. It carries the weight of innovation while remaining beautifully restrained. Every line, every material, every view toward the horizon feels intentional, as if the environment itself is a collaborator in discovery.

What makes the experience so powerful is that nothing is overstated. There are no distractions, no excess—just pure alignment between space and purpose. It leaves you with the sense that you are standing at the edge of something vast and transformative, even if you cannot see it directly.

The Salk Institute for Biological Studies is not simply a place of science—it is a quiet force of human potential, where mystery, energy, and intellect converge to shape the future.”

“This is the best theatre that I've been to in San Diego County! Unlike the theatre in my school campus and San Diego Civic Theatre. I wish I can come to this theatre again back and forth but I live all the way in City Heights which is very far away and I take public transportation. Three days ago on Saturday night, I attended to see the play, Disney's My Son Pinocchio Jr. because Pinocchio is my beloved Disney movie and Pinocchio is my favorite character. It was one of my best nights ever! I ordered a ticket very early about 2 months ago so that I could reserve the middle and the closest to near the stage seat for myself. Contrasting to San Diego Civic Theatre, I was surprised that all of the seats of the tickets were the same price and kind of inexpensive. I enjoyed Disney's My Son Pinocchio Jr. very much and I love it! I heard that most acting play shows do not include photos with the actors but when the actors and actresses were out of the theatre in the lobby after the show and allowed the audience to take photos, I was so surprised and excited! Contrasting to the theatre in my school campus and San Diego Civic Theatre, I'm extremely grateful that I had an opportunity to meet and take photos with the actors and actresses! And I'm also extremely grateful that I spent $7 to send the compliment card and three of the candies to the actor. Actually, I don't know were those situation up to the theatre crews or up to the acting play crews. Please correct me if I'm wrong! But whatever, I'm looking forward to come here again if there are any shows that I'm interested coming up”
