“Very peaceful and wonderful atmosphere at this mosque. The community is welcoming and always kind, and their imams are quite knowledgeable and available to answer any questions.”
“FACE saved our lives.
We had the most terrifying and unexpected experience with our cat this Saturday. We discovered he had a feline urethral obstruction. We had no way of getting him the care he needed, and I was ready to watch him pass away, but FACE gave us hope!
Thank you so much for giving us the grant that helped save my baby's life!
My baby's name is Tiny, and we will be forever grateful for everything they have done for us.”
“We love the SD House Rabbit Society for rabbit adoptions, education on how to care for rabbits, grooming/nail trims, rabbit supplies, food, treats, toys and hay.”
“Joining IADAC was single handedly the best thing I've done as a new dealer. The help provided, and amazing perks are worth the membership and then some! I didn't know how much I didn't know, until they helped educate me. I'm constantly asking for help and advice and they are very willing to help.”
“Love The work they do. Helping others in need without expecting anything back. I have to say that Kindness Initiative and G'Mach are the most generous organizations. I wish I could donate some money to help other members in need as They Are Wonderful. I cannot say more.
THANK YOU.❣️??❤️”

“They serve matzo flat meal sometimes. Or they used to. Packaged. It's a food bank. To get food free of charge. Businesses donate sometimes here. Read the sign up front. When you arrive. It's kosher? Right?”
“I ordered a book from these fantastic people and can't say enough about the great service and the condition of the book! I am also an author and I appreciate everything libraries and guilds do for literacy and freedom of choice. Thank you for what you do!!!”
“Every time I arrive at LJCC, I am warmly greeted by a friendly face: I feel very welcomed! The IPhone/IPad class is excellent. Deborah is very patient with all of our questions. I’m excited to be learning Canasta and, again the instructor is excellent. The center is an asset to the La Jolla community’”

“✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨Visiting the Salk Institute for Biological Studies feels less like stepping onto a campus and more like entering a living sanctuary of intellect and discovery.
There is an alluring secrecy woven into the space—an unspoken awareness that behind its quiet walls, some of the world’s most groundbreaking scientific advancements are unfolding. You can feel it. Not loudly, but profoundly. It’s in the stillness of the courtyard, the symmetry of the architecture, the way light meets concrete as if designed to sharpen thought itself.
The energy here is unmistakable—focused, disciplined, and almost reverent. It carries the weight of innovation while remaining beautifully restrained. Every line, every material, every view toward the horizon feels intentional, as if the environment itself is a collaborator in discovery.
What makes the experience so powerful is that nothing is overstated. There are no distractions, no excess—just pure alignment between space and purpose. It leaves you with the sense that you are standing at the edge of something vast and transformative, even if you cannot see it directly.
The Salk Institute for Biological Studies is not simply a place of science—it is a quiet force of human potential, where mystery, energy, and intellect converge to shape the future.”
“Great club. My son wanted to find a club where he could learn from skilled coaches to improve his own abilities, and compete with other teammates who also wanted to excel, while having fun. He loves it. In addition to coaching the kids in the game, they also teach and expect good sportsmanship (which not all clubs emphasize). Very positive environment that brings out the best in my son. In addition, they offer camps during school breaks for continued competitive skill building. The other parents are all terrific too; it's fun to go watch the kids' games together.”
“I've been coming to the 6th step house for 15 out 30 years of my sobriety and I am very proud to call this place my home group. I got sober in Boston and was quite use to the meetings there and struggled when I came to California. I went to many different meetings trying to find place where I felt comfortable. Finally I landed at a step house Saturday nooner and found the best meeting in San Diego! There was a lot of laughter, people made me feel welcome. Best of all the focus was about alcoholism and how to live sober, be useful and live from the heart. There are many meeting there and is all inclusive to everyone.”
“I am the 69 yr. old senior on the right, I have Parkinsons so very shaky, very hard to do even simple things. I am pictured with one of my volunteers Rod who without his help I couldn't stay in my mobilehome. He helps me inside and out for 2 hrs. every other week. He plants, weeds, brings in delivered water, takes out trash, does small repairs. I also have a great lady Carol who helps me with my shopping, banking weekly. Case worker Angelica is great too helping me fill out paperwork, discuss my needs. I try to donate $100 4 times a yr. for service. I wasn't asked to write this but please donate to continue this fine senior help program in San Diego. Thanks, Jim”
“Amazing service! My family’s financial situation changed very suddenly and our budget was effectively cut in half, thanks to this place, my family gets to eat very well on a very small budget. My entire family is so grateful to Porchlight for the work that they do!”
“I started attending some of the Garden Club events this past couple of years and they are exceptionally well- organized, educational, a good variety of activities, and fun! The club facilitator really does a great job at switching things up. I especially love the annual holiday events. Garden Club grounds are lovely. I always go without expectations; I know that I'll learn something, I'll meet new people, and I go with an open-mindset and fun attitude! Great way to spend the day!”
“We just discovered this wonderful place! There is a fantastic kids play learning opportunity three days a week and if you’re looking for a great outdoor activity with a young child, this is a must do!”
