“I’ve come to this post office regularly in the past 8 months. The staff is friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in determining the best solution to my mail and shipping questions. This is my “go to” place.”

“I am so grateful to the USPS Annex location. I called them yesterday to let them know I was expecting baby chics to arrive and I was worried about them arriving in the cool weather. They called me at 7:30 a.m. this morning, before they even opened, to let me know my chicks arrived. When I went to pick them up, I notice they had put a blanket over the box to help keep the chicks warm. Thank you so much for the extra care! I am so impressed with the service and going above and beyond my expectations.”

“A fun, zig-zaggy ride along Pinehurst Road leads to the secluded, forgotten hamlet of Canyon, CA, & this obscure, secretive landmark. Not much at the spot itself, although the forest surrounding have hiking opportunities galore. The drive up into town is clearly marked Private, & palpably UNwelcoming, so respect the locals’ privacy, & move on without intruding.”

“Never thought I’d write a positive review for a post office, but I left feeling incredibly impressed at the service I received here. I came in with a large box that was probably 50% full. Seeing how high the shipping cost was, he helped me find a smaller box and hacked it so my items fit perfectly into the box, saving me $50. I can’t believe he took the time to help me, going above and beyond when he did not have to. Thank you Freddy!”

“I have been going to this post office since 1991. Nothing but great things to say about the people who work here, especially Gary and the very friendly black gal, who's name escapes me at the moment. The friendliest of clerks reminds me of an atmosphere like that of "Andy of Mayberry" and what a PO should be like today! Thanks to the crew who work so hard for us!”

“I didn't catch the name of the staff member who assisted me today, but she was amazing! Very friendly, patient, and made the mailing process super smooth. There was a long line but it moved quickly. Nicest service I've ever had at a postal office.”

“I have always gotten useful help from the staff here even during the hectic holiday season, there was a line that moved quickly and they handled even the most random questions. Useful to ensure we support this service.”

“I accidentally forgot to put postage on our nephew's birthday card and realized my mistake just as I dropped the card into the big blue post box outside the post office. I waited and waited for the card to be returned only to learn on our nephew's birthday that he had received the card after all! The amazing folks (who are always so friendly in person) at Orinda post office had put a stamp on the card. They went above and beyond and we really appreciate them!”

“A much smaller post office with only one worker in the front but you'll get the customer experience that is severely lacking at all the other nearby post offices. The postal worker today was amazing. She was very nice - explained everything with detail and patience when I had questions. This office is a little more out-of-the-way for me, but I'll be using it regularly.”

“This is a great post office! It's unfortunate that their reviews don't reflect it.The staff is always incredibly helpful. And they have a lot of patience in dealing with helping people with their packaging. I've never seen a look of contempt from any of them. In fact the opposite. 5 Huge ? ? ? ? ?”

“I never thought I would give a USPS location a high rating, 'til I came to this one. They're so friendly and helpful. I was trying to mail a couple of packages and surprised by the cost going to the other coast. I didn't even say anything but the lady there was so nice asked what it was and offered me cheaper mailing options. She even gave me the supplies to repack my packages. And I saw them even offer tape to help someone seal their package better. Can I just say Wow, that's so nice! Usually you get someone very moody behind the counter at other locations that would tell you to buy your own tape. This location is a USPS gem.”

“They don't answer the phone because they don't have one here unfortunately, they have really long lines, and the only good thing about this office is they are helpful and are nearby where I live so I can send packages”

“Again, these guys rock! They are almost all very personable & without question will go the extra mile. I always leave happy that I've found such a nice post office to deal with!”

“Went to the post office to ship a package and mail some letters. I arrived a little after 11:30 and the line was out the door. It took about 15 minutes before I was served. Maybe 10-10:30 is the golden hour. It would be nice if there was a dedicated parking lot, but I have a feeling the majority of patrons are walk-ups. I appreciate their constant cleanliness, knowledgeable employees, and their constant stock of domestic and international stamps.”

“Ramon rocks and is the glue that holds this post office together. Not sure what we'll all do when he retires. But, I wish him the best of luck when he does and thank him for all of his helpful service over the years.”

“Really no issues at all. Despite being a small location, hidden amongst the buzz of Durant Street, the service was good and quick and to the point. Will come back!”

“I love this post office. The sistah that works in the far corner is so incredibly helpful and proficient at her job. She is so on it, that I usually leave feeling better than I walked in because she makes the experience so pleasant and clear. If it weren't for parking I would use this post office exclusively. I will say that the USPS should update the equipment. Some of the machines seem like they haven't been updated since before Regan was president.”

“I went to the post office several times over the holiday and each time it was a good experience. They were well staffed and the line moved fast. The postal employees were so nice and helpful.”

“I have never had a bad experience at this location. The clerks have always been friendly and helpful. In fact I applaud them for working in such a challenging environment. Lack of leadership, at the top, (De Joy), covid, lack of employees, and long hours, have made a very difficult working situation for these people. I think them for their perseverance.”

“Ms. Trina Blessings is so kind and understanding! She kept the line moving but still spoke to each customer with patience and a smile. Literally the best post office experience of my life.”

“I came into this post office as a walk-in (2x2 pictures already in hand) to complete and mail off a expedited passport application. As I was waiting in line there was already a person being helped for the same thing. I heard the clerk being super helpful with her passport application so I though, great! I really didn't want to mess it up. Another clerk called me up next and I told her I had a passport application, she immediately grabbed the envelope and began placing my application inside and asked me to confirm everything was correct. I told her, I was hoping she could verify that. She told me "I'm not a passport technician" I said, ok I would like to wait for someone who is. She told me to get bak in line. I got Ebony and let me tell you, Ebony was gracious, had a good attitude, and helped me get my application in order and mailed off. Originally she had forgotten to have me sign the application at the end, she realized within a few minutes and called my cell phone to ask me to come back! That shows true attention to detail and going out of her way to correct it. Imagine if that was sent off without being signed. Super grateful for Ebony and her helpfulness.”

“The Ladies who worked there were always helpful and wonderful. once or twice a month I go there to send care package to my Son who is currently deployed overseas and the Lady ( I need to get her name next time ) always takes her time to check all the items and gives me some tips on how to do it.I went to several postal office and everytime they see my FPO box they know that they have to write everything down, it take more time gor them and they usually either give me an attitude or find problems for me to not to send it.USPS Walnut Creek is great.”

“This is a hidden gem, which includes a parking lot. Wish I knew that before I found street parking, but they only had a tiny parking lot for 2 automobiles. Still good to know for the future reference. I came right before lunch and got lucky that only 1 customer was in line. The employee was nice enough to guide me on which form to fill out, because I was sending stuff to Switzerland. She helped me pick the best price for me, and process was quick.”

“Alamo Post Office Staff was very cordial, helpful in resolving my issues promptly every time I needed their services. Last Friday I was pleasantly surprised with their solution to my mail-out package of ono-uniform size with very modest postage required. Kudos to staff working there!!”

“So I've been having a hard time getting my new passport as I have a special case of providing my citizenship since i'm a derived-citizen. I've been to the Concord Post office about 5 times and none of the staff there were helpful at all! They kept requesting documents that I already had, and said my expired green card was invalid? But doing research I'm actually able to use my card as proof- Now we then went to the post office here in Martinez since it was closer, and the experience was so much different than in Concord. Staff was kind and helpful, they actually knew about my special case and knew the rules, saying indeed my documents were all validated. It was all done in less than 10min. ! The person who helped us was named Reya and she was the absolute sweetest. She pretty much guided us through the entire process, so it was wonderful experience.”

“I give this post office 3 stars because they are less than average in niceness, the floors are not very clean because the janitors are lazy and make zero efforts to pick up the trash that patrons leave on the floor when discarding their open envelopes that they stand around opening the bills. The bills seem to get taken without questioning why theyr aren't suppose to litter the floors with the envelopes. maybe the patrons are slobs in their own homes. who knows?”

“This post office is located on MacArthur Boulevard down the street from where I live. They normally have two to three workers at one time and I haven't had too many problems coming here to buy money orders and stamps. Lunch is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. so normally there's one person working at this time.”
