“Bryce saved me over $2000!! I had a dead FRM from a Mini Cooper, and my mechanic wanted to charge over $2000 in parts and labor. After some research, I found the FRM failing was common and came across Bimmerscan. Although the website was dated and made me a bit unsure, I could tell he knew his stuff, so I called and spoke with Bryce. He said he could fix the FRM, and a replacement wasn't even needed. I ended up driving 1.5 hours where I was met with kindness and a warm welcome from the staff sharing the address. Bryce carried that atmosphere throughout my short stay. It only took 20 min. for Bryce to fix the problem. He brought me back for a detailed explanation with energy and passion for his craft. On top of all this, he's just a great guy who loves what he does. I grew up on the East Coast and moved to California more than 15 years ago. During that time, finding an auto repair shop I could truly trust was surprisingly difficult. Too often, I left other shops wondering whether the repairs were actually necessary or if I was being sold services I didn’t need. That all changed when I found 949 Auto Repair.
The shop was recommended to me through a family acquaintance, and I have been bringing my Lexus SUV to Mike since 2023. From my very first visit, it was clear that he operates with a level of honesty, professionalism, and integrity that is incredibly rare. Mike takes the time to explain exactly what is going on with your vehicle, answers questions patiently, and never pressures you into unnecessary work. He genuinely wants his customers to understand what their cars need and why.
One experience in particular cemented my trust in him. I was convinced that all of my brakes needed to be replaced. Many shops could have easily agreed and charged me thousands of dollars for work I assumed was necessary. Instead, Mike carefully inspected everything and told me that my rear brakes still had approximately 20,000 miles of life left in them, possibly more depending on my driving habits. He could have made an easy sale that day, but he chose honesty instead. That kind of integrity is priceless.

He is knowledgeable, transparent, fair, and genuinely committed to doing what is best for the customer rather than what is most profitable.
