“Ace is always a little more pricey than your big box stores, but there are a lot of reasons that Im willing to pay the extra few bucks... convenience, specialty parts always in stock, and GREAT customer service. Their staff is always helpful and 99% of the time they know way more about Home maintenance, repair, upkeep, etc than anyone at the big box stores. It seems like they hire ex-tradesman because they often know more than I do, and I am a GC with 25 years in the trades. I go there when I have questions. On top of that, if they can't help me with something, they will point me in the right direction to get it figured out.
On a different note, as a family, this ACE is great because they always have fun, funny, cute, and interesting stuff to look at. It's a relatively small store, but I could spend an hour or more in there just looking.
They do close a little earlier than other hardware stores, so make sure to check their hours before heading over.”
“This Home Depot is exactly what you need it to be. Big, stocked, and generally organized. You can get in, find what you need, and get out without burning half your day.
Staff varies, but when you find someone who knows their department, they’re helpful. Pro tip is go in with a plan and you’ll be fine.
