“I don’t really understand all the bad reviews, i went on two separate occasions and both times the employees were extremely helpful and kind. The manager even hooked me up with a deal due to the vans anniversary on a shoe that had just came out. Everything was super easy and super helpful. This is now my main vans store to go to.”

Selection is ample and pricing varies depending on the item but over all they have decent prices,This store in my opinion has a little bit for everyone but it may be geared more towards young men.Customer service is ok and can definitely be more friendly.Make sure to stop by as there is something for everyone at every budget.”

“I was ignored in three shoe stores in the Lakewood Mall. I am not dressed very hip but Maria was the only one that said hello and asked me if I needed anything. I watched other shoppers of other races come in and got warm greetings. I immediately identified myself as an Elite Yelper and thanked her for acknowledging my presence. I also bought a pair of new Jordans from her. No need to try them on. A young man and another young lady never gave me a glance but Maria knows what service is all about. Even for an older shopper like me dressed in a Navy shirt and church slacks. If you come to the Foot Locker in the Lakewood Mall, ask for Maria!!!”

“Stopped by there today and was totally impressed. The guy that answered the phone and gave us directions to the store was polite and helpful. When I got there Coby helped diagnose my grand daughter's skateboard issue and fixed it. He was knowledgeable, helpful, professional and went out of his way to explain things to me. I appreciate the service and if I was not retired I'd recruited both kids to work for me.”

“They say that sometimes good comes out of a bad situation. I had a pick up order, so I showed up to the store and got in the line that was designated for pick ups. I didn't make much of it as a young African American lady was helping another customer, then she helped another and another and I kept getting ignored. I believe she called for back up from an Asian lady that apparently was a manager. Both of them ignored me until a young lady wearing a Bambi sweater let me know that I had to get in the regular line. I thanked her and got in line now to be ignored until I asked for help to which the manager mumbled something and walked away. I waited again for her to come back to not do anything but chit chat to another associate ignoring the long line without even addressing a single person that had been waiting. The lady with the Bambi sweater got called to help me with the pick up order by the manager. I was surprised, but she got right to it. She was very sweet and kind as she understood what had happened since I had been there for a while. She went to get the order and I was done within minutes. If only more of the employees and managers were like this young lady named Skylar/Skyler, maybe they wouldn't have so many bad reviews. It could have been a really bad experience, but it wasn't because that actually tried to help. It's not the first time she has helped me, I just didn't know her name and she is always very friendly which I appreciate. Had it not been for her, this review would have also been a 1 star. Thank you Skylar for not letting today's experience sour the day.”

“Nicki and Kimberly were absolutely amazing with my son! We were there to get my son a tux for his Winter Formal (which is a community event for those who Autism). My son has never been able to go into stores and try clothes on, as he has a lot of anxiety. I have always had to purchase clothes and bring them home and try on. This was an amazing memory to get to make w my son. He is 21 years old and I still get to have "firsts" w him that we missed out on. It meant the world to me that both Nicki and Kimberly were so excited and sweet with us. Thank you to this fabulous store and these fantastic women. You made a huge difference in our lives.”
