“When i was 7 I went here and found a book called "Young Zeus" that i was really into. But my mom said we had to go before I could finish the book. 6 years later, when i was 13, my family returned to the bay area and stopped by this bookstore again. I was really disappointed to find "Young Zeus" wasn't in stock. I'm 20 now and next time I'm in the bay area (whenever that is) I'm gonna come back to this store and they better have Young Zeus so I can finish reading it once and for all”

“This bookshop is very welcoming and charming. I loved the layout, the selection of books - new and old (some even from the early 1900s), and the playful knickknacks lurking from the top of the bookshelves.”

“The ladies at the store asked that I update them since it was such a unique request. I forgot to get your contact info so a review will suffice. My partner loved the books you recommended and was familiar with and had been very planning to read works from both authors. My request was very specific (a gift for my partner with a specialized interest in Soviet Union history, more specifically at the intersection of Jewish history there in) and the shop keepers were knowledgeable and well informed with recommendations which he loved. I’m so grateful for your assistance in making it a great birthday for him.”

“Great used bookstore with easy to browse shelves. Many looks brand new and gift ready. The beautiful graphic art posters, cards and print arts by a local artist is also highlight of this store’s offering. You could enter either backdoor through the parking lot or the main building entrance/alley that leads to many other stores and restaurant from San Anselmo Ave.”

“Found this hidden gem nestled right off the coast, and it's an absolute treasure for both bibliophiles and the community, and it's evident that they take care in curating a diverse and engaging collection. The selection of children's books they offer is impressive, and I was able to find some learning material for the students I tutor and work with at camp. The quaint bookstore offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It's a place where you can lose yourself among the shelves, exploring new worlds and stories.Whether you're a student, a parent, or simply a book enthusiast, it's a place that's worth a visit.”

“Honestly, one of the best bookstores. Unpretentious. If I lived in SF, I'd be broke shopping from there all the time. Well, that and rent, but mainly shopping here.”

“The store is stocked to the brim with comics, novels, cookbooks, and various genres, all with reasonable prices! It is also run by the sweetest and most helpful store owner, Jiang Mama. She and the store makes the trek from South Bay to SF Chinatown worth it.”

“What a cool store! I stopped in during a business trip and the owner, Tracy, was so kind and engaging! This is an eclectic boutique with great clothing options, some interesting books, and eastern home decor. Check out FEZ if you in the area!”

“Whoah, I was shocked by the collection at this little tiny bookstore. They sell used/donated books and the proceeds go to the local library. I've been to other bookstores that benefit local libraries, and normally the collection is so sad. I'm an avid fiction reader, and pretty picky, and in their fiction section they had tons of great books published in the last couple years that I have loved (for around $5 for most books) In the travel section I found a fairly recent guidebook for Montreal which will be awesome for our upcoming trip. My husband couldn't stop raving about the 4D? John Wick DVDs he found for cheap that he said would easily go for 10x the price on Amazon. We also found lots of cute books for our toddlers that were 2-3 dollars each. Overall, very small shop but some great finds!!”

“As a San Francisco native, I usually try to avoid the wharf area in general but this place is worth schlepping across SF. They're situated at the end of the Hyde Street Pier, which is one of SF's National Parks. Yeah, parkS with an S! It's also part of the Maritime Museum/Aquatic Park area, so the views are GORGEOUS! As for the store, it's a bit smaller than the other souvenir shops, but I think that the product variety is much nicer. Most of the places along the wharf seem to have the same stuff I can get in Chinatown, but this place has like brass fog horns, fog globes (waaay cooler than snow globes) and lots of National Park and nautical/maritime themed stuff.”

“Fabulous place to visit for animation enthusiasts! At $10USD it's one of the less expensive things to do in San Francisco and well worth your time if you're a fan of Marvel, DC, Disney and Warner Bros. At the moment they have a gallery of cartoons by Ukrainian artists depicting life in a war zone which was incredibly powerful and moving. There's also a reading room where you can immerse yourself in your favourite comics and loads of other books. Highly recommend!”

“An eclectic mix of old and new toys chosen with the utmost care, this store is unique. And it has unique finds, vintage and other pieces you won't find elsewhere. The thing is that the store isn't necessarily for kids, and I didn't feel comfortable having my kid within arm's reach of expensive and breakable things. So it's a great place for adults who love toys or who want to choose a great find for a kid.”

“Nestled in among the harbored yachts and sailboats in Sausalito lies this gem of a bookstore. It has a nice selection of fiction, nature books, books of local interest and more. There are also gift items, such as colored robes, candles, soaps and souvenir items. There's even a refrigerator offering sparkling water, wine and beer, so it's a perfect place to grab a book, a few snacks and a refreshment.”

“What a good reminder of this unsung bookstore across the street from the College of Marin. I wanted a book today for a birthday party tonight--nothing like waiting until the last second! Not only did they have that precise book, but wrapped it beautifully while I browsed the extensive card collection. And I had a fine discussion about recent books with the two individuals minding the store. I will go there first in the future--the "First" in the name of the store means more than just First St. where they got their start!”

“Love the feeling of a little family here. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they have all the stationery one needs for college. This cute bookstore is located at the end of the main parking lot at College of Marin Kentfield. I found my books and these amazing erasable pens and erasable highlighter here. How cool is that? ??”

“Went during weekday, was only custie there. Strange layout, found what I was looking for in back against wall. Seems geared toward hoodies, not enough sweats and other logo gear. Class rings were displayed, grateful for sizing card. Bookstore staff person VERY nice and went above and beyond.”
