I've been here a fair few times now and finally have time to write the review this place deserves. The thing that keeps drawing us back, more than any one specific dish or detail, is the overall feel — there's a quiet warmth to everything that's properly rare and difficult to fake. The food is consistently brilliant, with proper portions, fresh ingredients, considered cooking, and the kind of seasoning and care that takes real skill in the kitchen. The menu has the right balance of staples we love and rotating specials that keep things interesting visit after visit. The staff are the other half of the magic. Every server we've had has been warm, attentive, and properly skilled, and they've started recognising us, which is always a lovely feeling. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming in that way that makes hours quietly disappear — comfortable seating, gentle lighting, a relaxed buzz from other tables. Prices are sensible for the quality on offer and the bill is always fair with no nasty surprises. We've already sent several friends here and every one has come back grateful. The kind of local restaurant that you feel genuinely lucky to have nearby. Long may it continue to be this consistently good. Highly recommend.”
