βStopped in today to sell some tapes and met Nick. He evaluated my classic rock cassette tapes, explained what he expected to sell them for at retail, and then made me an offer. Considering he now has to turn around and sell them, I felt the offer was fair, and it was a pleasure doing business with him.
The store has a very eclectic mix of items, and I really enjoyed browsing all the fantastic merchandise. I plan to return soon to bring more items to sell and to pick up a few things I spotted on this visit.
Great store! Parking is available around the corner for a few dollars.β
βMy favorite book store for sure, I always love to go and peruse the zine library even if I don't have a lot to spend, I can usually get some local zines for $10 or less. Plus the super cute shop cat is an absolute treasure. The decor and atmosphere are just so cozy and beautifully currated I wish I could spend the whole day in there!β
βSan Diego has many excellent indie bookstores, but the book catapult is one of the best. They have a great selection of new books, including an amazing children's section with books for all developmental levels. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable, and they have frequent community events for you to connect with other readers.β

βAs a thriller and romance author, Iβm always visiting Barnes & Noble for inspiration.
The Barnes & Noble in Otay Ranch is huge and easily the ultimate cornucopia of books in the area. I believe this is one of the only stores, if not the only bookstore, left in the south part of San Diego.
As a thriller author, I always like to see whatβs new and upcoming in my genre. As I continue to expand my universe of characters in the Grant Colson series, Iβm hoping to do a signing here in the future.
I love that they have different sections for mysteries and thrillers, fiction, romance, and more. They also have solid Spanish-language sections, which is really nice.
They also have an electronics section, a kidsβ section, and an embedded Starbucks. The coffee area has plenty of tables, which is great for reading or working. The only downside to this location is parking. The main entrance is along a drive-through style mall with limited spaces, though a larger lot is a short walk away.
The staff was friendly and answered all of my questions.
Definitely will be back here.β
βAs the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and The SERA Archives Thriller Series, I appreciate local neighborhood bookstores, and Bluestocking Books in Hillcrest is a fun and unique shop.
I even found a copy of one of the old Piers Anthony fantasy novels I grew up on. Those books helped push me toward becoming a writer, along with my shelf of nonfiction polar and mountaineering titles.
The staff here is super courteous and the prices are more than reasonable. It’s great having places like this in the city where people actually know the books, understand the genres, and can point you in the right direction for whatever you’re hunting for. I also noticed the romance shelves while writing The Maui Desire Romance Series, and it’s a thoughtfully curated section that fits the store well.β

βIt's probably because the school year is barely starting, but their stock was a bit low. In the apparel there's not the necessary variety of styles, colors and sizes for a campus that big, and boy is the clothing awesome!!!!.(plus great clearance prices) The baseball hats, the beannies, cool t-shirts and sweatshirts.... . But the jackets.... Those are a must have for the winter weather. Hopefully in the coming weeks jackets for women will become also available.β

βWas strolling down Adam’s Avenue and came across this place! I was surprised to see such a large selection of books. The shelves are a bit crowded inside but loved their focus on metaphysical and spiritual books. Came away with 2 new reads!β

I didnβt look at the nutrition selection, but they had a lot of what I was looking for in terms of child education (not even just religious stuff, stuff like phonics and a kidβs dictionary). βGreat scented shea butters, oils, jewelry. The Rihanna and Kush butters smelled amazing. The owner was very kind and knowledgeable while showing me around the store. They have a great book and clothing selection that sends great messages. I bought some stickers with quotes from the store. Very easy going atmosphere.β

βMy family visited Geppetto's from out of town and we were so pleasantly surprised to see a locally owned toy shop up and running! There were so many different kinds of toys, creative sets, and scientific discovery kits. Staff were friendly and let us browse at our own pace. Everyone in the family left the shop with something special, including baby and grown ups!β
βA very good place to get to know about Buddhism. Buddhism books suitable for beginners, kids, youth and of course advanced.It has exhibitions from time to time, painting, artwork by kids, gourd carving, tea ceremony etc.... The current exhibition is a LEGO set of its buildings, fascinating!β
βI'm Thankful for the teachings and insights I have received from Unarius and its students. Each time I visit, I feel uplifted and that I am participating in creating my positive future. From discussing topics with the students, taking creativity workshops and participating in the classes and events, I am gathering tools and experiences that help me to grow and hopefully help in creating a better Earth for us all. I think the creativity workshops are probably the best way to visit especially if you can tie it with a tour. It would be a great first introduction. Besides the workshops, I really love the Crystal Flame Ceremony in December. My first actual visit (I've been aware of Unarius for years) was a visit during business hours. We spent an hour talking with Billie who has painted some of the most well known paintings of Unarius. Each time I visit now I can feel the positive energy and excitement building. Stop in and ask questions. They are always willing to talk. There are a ton of books and dvds and everyone's favorite, the starship pin!β

βThe store has pretty much anything you need for class, such as supplies, clothing, snacks, textbooks and sitting area to read, and eat. As well as a really handy computer area that helps if you are to lazy or tierd to walk to the back of the campus to the library.β
