“Our stay at Loews was deeply meaningful to our family as we gathered for my brother’s memorial celebration, and the team handled every detail with extraordinary care and grace. Daniel, Paulina, Emily, and Samantha were exceptional, attentive, compassionate, and genuinely invested in making our time comfortable during what was an emotional occasion. Their warmth and professionalism made a lasting impact on us.

Hospitality is incredibly important to me. I have worked in the industry for 15 years and now serve as a hospitality consultant specializing in private client experience and repositioning advisory. Experiencing service at this level from the guest side was powerful. The thoughtful touches, responsiveness, and intuitive understanding of what guests need especially during sensitive moments, were executed beautifully.

The extra mile that I pride myself on in my own work was on full display here. It felt seamless, elevated, and sincere. We were so grateful for the care extended to our family, and it made an already significant weekend feel supported and dignified.

Thank you for delivering a truly stellar experience. We are sincerely grateful.

Edit: also a special thank you to Lonnie, Elijah, Cheryl and Jocelyn.”

“Stayed here for a week, what a gem! I was really excited for the arcade games and pool but we didn’t have time to use either. They looked really cool though. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do. We felt safe walking to and from the trolley. Staff were all friendly and helpful! Cute rooms, comfy beds. The grab n go breakfast was a bit disappointing but was fine for a quick snack. It was a bit of a bummer not having a fridge or coffee maker but we made out fine without. Would definitely stay here again!”

“I had a great experience at this economical restaurant. It’s a perfect place for anyone who wants a satisfying meal without spending a lot of money. The prices are very reasonable, and the food quality is surprisingly good for such an affordable spot.
The dishes were fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions. The atmosphere was simple and relaxed, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a casual meal. The staff were friendly and quick to help, which added to the positive experience. Overall, this restaurant offers excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, budget-friendly dining.”

“Historic beauty in what has become my favorite location in San Diego. Easy walk into Hillcrest and to downtown. They remodeled the building keeping the historic nature in mind. The rooftop view is stellar with park views and bay views. I stay here monthly. If you happen to be here in St Pattys Day, it’s the perfect place to watch the parade. The parade doubles back so you can watch it on 6th and 5th Ave. The staff might be the best part of this experience. They are all super friendly and genuine. Mufasa is my personal favorite. Always smiling and ready for a conversation.”

“So there's a little spot with some beach chairs in a little sand right next to the water front grill. It overlooks the docked boats and it's centrally located down here in South bay san diego. I recommend eating at the waterfront grill and you can also have a cocktail. Very casual food light but very good. I just wanted to show you guys the comfort of being able to be outside near the water with nature.”

“For the price of the rooms it would benefit to have bottled water provided to go with the coffee machine. At least one bottle per guest would have been appreciated.”

“If live or you ever come to visit San Diego, this is a must visit place. This is iconic location for all the memorable eve nt. There is never a moment you can walk by and not enjoy the scenery around the fountain.”

“From the moment you walk through their doors you feel comfortable. Pleasant staff..easy check-in..even got two free drinks tickets for the bar.. AND it was a cool place to hangout. Rooms were cool.. everything was clean and spacious..no complaints there. Location is ideal..at the northeast end of the Quarter. Quiet enough to be away from all the hype and close enough to walk all around downtown.

Yes, I would stay there again!”

“The hotel only has valet parking for $65 a day/night. You have in and out privileges all day though. I believe until 9pm and then you have to pay for the next day automatically for valet but double check this. There’s a $35 resort fee each night and $200 deposit required at check-in. There's an option to park around the corner for way less though like $25 a day. It can be hard to get parking at these “ACE” public parking lots especially on the weekend. You can only park your car for a max of 10 hours too. I just remembered to pay for parking via the app though. This hotel is in a prime location where you can walk to the bars and restaurants.

The hotel reminds me of spring break and vacation. It’s cute and in a good area. The $65 a night valet parking was a bit too much IMHO. I would probably not stay here again for that alone but also the walk around the corner is not far at all. There were four free water bottles available by the coffee machine in your room. There was also water available by the elevator before you go up but it was empty by nighttime. So, if you are planning on going out, please bring enough water back to your room before.

There was a mini fridge in the dresser. I really liked that they had this. There's no jacuzzi but the pool is heated.”

“Nice rooms. Great location, city's layout helps a lot by having the airport, stadium, and Balboa park nearby.
The shampoo and other bath products seem to stain or decolor the shower tiles.”

“I had a 2-month stay here and this hotel was fabulous. The front desk staff were so accommodating. So friendly and so helpful. They really made everything wonderful!

I didn't usually partake in breakfast but the friends I was with raved non-stop about how good it was.

The room was very spacious with almost a full kitchen. All it lacked was an oven. There was a full size fridge, an induction cooktop, a dishwasher, and a full sink. I believe with disposal. There was ample room for storage. It felt almost like an apartment and a home away from home. My room overlooked the highway so it was a bit noisy and I was woken up by the forklift guy from Walmart but that's just the nature of the beast of highway hotel. Other people did not have that issue. That's just the room that I was in.

The beds were very comfortable and I really appreciated the extra drawers beyond the closet for clothing. The bathroom had ample space. Though I don't understand what is the deal with the half glass showers? It's all the rage in Europe and I hated it there too. Water always gets outside. Maybe it's the new thing?

In any case, I spent two holidays here and had an incredibly pleasant stay. I was able to keep my bike here and ride from the hotel to the neighborhoods around. If you have a bike it is extremely accessible to anywhere. I rode downtown. I rode everywhere with zero issue.

And what's fabulous is you can walk to the outlet mall. There's a Barnes& Noble and a cheesecake factory and a bath& Body works, etc. It's all right there plus a grocery store and then you can cook in your room and feel right at home.

Probably the only issue I had was with the elevators. There was almost always one of them having an issue but this is going on about 8 months ago so it's probably been fixed by now.

None of that should deter you from staying here. Parking is free and it's a warm, comfortable homey place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel! If I never back in Chula Vista I will stay here!!”

“I stayed here last week and really enjoyed the peaceful, nature filled atmosphere. It's not a luxury resort, but for the price, it offers great value. The room was clean, and cozy. However, the bed was a bit creaky, it made noticeable noise whenever I turned or shifted during the night, which affected my sleep a little. The staffs were warm and helpful, always ready to assist. Beautiful, green surroundings made for a relaxing stay. The location is convenient, with restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, it’s a charming place to stay if you're looking for a quiet retreat. I hope the bed issue can be improved because I’d love to return!”

“The two days that we staying, they were having issues with hot water in some rooms. It took at least 10 minutes for the water to get warm. They offered us another room, but we declined because we had already unpacked our suitcases and settled into the room.”

“First time staying at Holiday Inn since the Late/Early 2000's. Holiday Inn has definitely turned itself around from the complimentary breakfast, to how clean the rooms are. Amenities in the room have definitely come a long way with the microwave, fridge and bedding. The pillows and bedding are high quality and very cool for hot nights. Joe and Tiffany along with the morning staff are amazing I highly recommend everyone come check out The Holiday Inn off E st in Chula Vista CA.

THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!”

“We had to book last minute and they were able to immediately accommodate us. The room was much larger than anticipated and very clean. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful with our questions, they explained all of the amenities so we understood what was included. The parking garage was a great amenity that helped us avoid getting soaked on the rainy days. We had a standard room but we could still see the bay from our balcony. The onsite food options were also well above our expectations for a resort/hotel. We'll definitely stay again!”

“The best thing about this hotel is location and super friendly front desk staff
They are very courteous.
Even during breakfast time, asked the kitchen manager if they have any vegan options in breakfast, she prepared vegan patties for us.

You can find rooms anywhere but what experience like these makes the stay wonderful.
Thankyou for the comfortable stay experience.

PS- the only negative is the congested parking garage.”

“Standard, mediocre Courtyard Marriott experience. First off, in terms of location, this is by far the best I've picked. It's right in the middle of a bunch of highways without being in a busy or noisy area, so it's easy to head out to where you want to go. I don't think it's really within reasonable walking distance of much, but I was driving. There were also 8 Tesla Destination chargers here for hotel guests that were cheaper than Superchargeres, and I was able to use one on both nights of my stay (Friday and Saturday), though I did get the last available one just before midnight on Saturday night.

The hotel is huge for a Courtyard. The room was OK, but not great. The floor had a bunch of sticky spots in the carpet (like leftover spilled food or candy that was embedded). It seemed decently clean otherwise and there were no bugs or anythiing that I saw. The bathroom was also acceptably clean. The use of space is awful, though. It has the little bathroom sink nook with about two square feet of counter space and then a huge WC/bathroom area with a bunch of empty space between the shower and toilet. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer to actually have a bunch of bathroom counter space. The bed was comfortable enough for me.
The basic Wi-Fi was slow but usable for basic things (~10Mb up/~5Mb down).
I didn't try the breakfast so I can't comment on that.

The main issue I actually had here was that my room was next to one of the main stairwells, and it got so loud in the morning with everyone going up and down for breakfast and kids stampeding up and down. I was awoken each day around 7am and couldn't go back to sleep due to the noise. Also, I woke up hot in the middle of the night because of the wonky stuff with the AC thermostat trying to save energy or whatever.

I'd probably stay here again, but I'd request a quieter location--the place is huge after all so there's bound to be a better spot.”

“We stayed here last week. One bedroom hotel with kitchen. We do use the kitchen. The kitchen had all the right utensils, pots and pans. The rooftop was fabulous with beautiful views. This place is close to everything. We walked to Balboa park. Balboa park stunning ? we're planning a return trip. Oh and the staff, everyone was so professional and welcoming. From the front door the Valet guy was very informative to check in Yazmin and Austin, thank you for the zoo.”
