“This place has one of the nicest gentleman working as a clerk . Got my package dropped off here and he was very kind to box it up would recommend this place to anybody in the area”
“Before we moved to Saratoga, we had been used to coming a long way to this location for shipping service not just because it’s a place easy for parking but because the clerks are very warm and helpful. Yesterday I was particularly impressed by the speedy service offered by Clerk 15, a smart guy who helped me as soon as he saw me walk in. I had hardly got to ask him where to drop off a return parcel before he scanned the barcode, handed me a receipt and showed me how to track it. He was so adept at handling the item I went away without getting time to ask his name.”
“The lady was very polite and helpful. I have never sent a package before and needed to do this for lawyers. It worked out well. She helped ensure that all the details were correct and she is very courteous.”

“Augustine is running a one-man show here. He is a really nice man and so kind. It’s always a pleasure to interact with him.
For those complaining in the reviews: It’s not his fault that there’s just one employee. that’s determined by the higher-ups at USPS. And the correct hours are in the photo. The government mandates 15 minute breaks and lunch breaks for employees.”
“This is one of the main locations in San Jose and they’re most definitely a one stop shop. There’s a bunch of booths for fast service (just don’t show up right before closing) and they stay open later than most other USPS. They have a Dropbox for packages and mail during after hours. Lastly there’s a Passport Office located on the side of the building, just be aware of some potential homeless people with RVs. Not trying to bash them I’ve never had a bad encounter but just a heads up!”
“Almaden post office is the best! I had a missing package and the 'Post Master' found it and personally brought it to my house. It does not get better than that. Thank you all at Almaden post office 95120 Almaden”

“I had a wonderful experience here this morning applying for a passport for my son. The woman that helped me let me in early for my appointment and went over everything with my family and I. She was very thorough and friendly.”
“I dropped off an important letter for certified mail and they ended up losing it. However the manager was apologetic and told me that they were truly sorry and they try to hit the 100% percent mark and that they would refund me for it. Which they ended up doing! The service was great and he came out right away and even investigated what happened. The service was quick for sending out a letter! It cost almost $5 for certified mail.”
“Went in for a passport appointment (including photograph) for our 3 months old. I wanted to drop in a note for how patient and smooth the process was. The USPS clerk was patient with our baby for the photo taking process, in fact she recommended we feed via bottle her for a while as the baby got cranky. She patiently waited and clicked a couple of photos and asked us for the best one for the passport. Tips for new parents - 1) Fill your form online via “form filler” and print it out for minimal hassle with the baby at location. 2) Bring a blank personal check to pay US dept of state (which is separate from USPS fees). 3) Get 2x birth certificates from your county office as USPS keeps one for sometime. 4) Make the baby wear dark clothes that will stand out on a white background.”
“Walk-ins on Saturdays ARE happening as of May 2024; an earlier review states that they’re not, so hopefully this helps others who were confused!
We arrived at 8:55 for the 9am walk-in opening which turned out to not be early enough (unsurprisingly). The passport employee let us know on the spot how many people she could promise to serve before the office closes, how many may manage to get in, and the cutoff of the line where she wouldn’t recommend waiting. That was so helpful, because then at the back of the line we knew we shouldn’t spend the next three hours waiting - we just called it and decided to try another day.
I can’t speak to the rest of services but did really appreciate the respectful expectation-setting.”
“I don't know why people complain so much about this location, service is efficient and the guy over there (it's not always there, but most of the time) the one with glases, its fast and friendly (not over friendly, but come on, the guy it's working!) If anything, maybe some expanded hours on Saturday would be great.”
“I’d definitely have given more stars to this location Ms. Wanda went above and beyond to look for my package and she did even call me when she found out the shipment we need more people like her I really like the service at this location”
“I always get my packages and find staff funny and friendly. So many reviews about mail carriers...im reviewing the post office itself where my PO box is and where I send packages. The staff do the best they can. There have been many funding cuts to public services of all kinds including the Post Office. Having worked at a similar agency myself, I give props to folks who do more than their share on an anemic budget!”
“Passport walk-in works differently here.
A signup sheet is placed on a table inside at 6AM. Once it’s full (4-5 names), they pull the sheet. This can happen quickly, and if you don’t notice the explanation taped to the table across from the passport door, you won’t know (and will wait for nothing).
You must already have all applications filled and printed, documents and supporting items ready to go, they will not see anyone who arrives looking to fill it out in person.”
“I visit this location so many times, Rajni is amazingly professional, helpful and lovely lady. Also the lady who work at the passport section is very positive, helpful and professional. I recommend this place”

“Mixed reviews about this POST Office. My experience with the counter folks have been very positive and helpful. They take the time to explain the process and the different options for mailing packages and certified mail.
My residence is a bit rural so oftentimes I get a slip in the mailbox to pick up a package. They're always very prompt and courteous at counter. I know they sometimes deal with customers that are less than respectful.
Song has worked many years and exemplifies the professionalism as well.
Thank you”
“I shipped my foreign passport for renewal yesterday. The staff was really friendly, conversational and professional. Minutes after I shipped my envelope, I realized my shipping address was wrong and hurried back, and they were able to retrieve the unshipped envelope (just before loading it to the truck!) and change the shipping address for me without additional charge. I'm really grateful!”
