“Update: I've been coming here for about 5 months and I see such immense improvement in my strength and also can see more toned muscle developing on areas of my body. In addition , this has helped me improve my mental health , as it is my daily escape from the stress and hectic nature of life! Again - run don't walk here! It's an invaluable investment in both your physical and mental health! Run don't walk here! This is the only place to go to for all your fitness needs! I love and adore this place! You get a total body workout in 30 minutes (no class times, just simply pop-in), I already feel stronger and see that I am developing more muscle structure. It's a circuit style training with emphasis on kick boxing, conditioning, weight training, core strength, etc. - this is done within 9 different "rounds" that are 3 minutes each and no prior kickboxing experience is necessary. Believe me, the 30 minutes past by like a blink of an eye!All of the trainers are absolutely exceptional, amazing and attentive! If you have any injuries/pre existing mobility issues or if you have any specific fitness goals, they personalize and modify , each "round" as needed for you. You basically have a personal trainer at each and every workout. Also, this location is extremely welcoming, there is such a deep sense of community and camaraderie when you walk in the door. It's like your neighbor "Cheers" bar (for those of you are old enough to get the reference), where they know your name and you receive a heartfelt warm smile & wave.Stop by as soon as you can! They always offer 2 free sessions for you to experience the work out and the trainers, I guarantee that once you check it out, you will feel awesome and not want to go back to a boring "traditional gym". “Love this place! Fun and talented instructors, beautiful views and perfect weather make working out quite enjoyable. You get out what you put in with rowing and the instructors always motivate me to give it my all. Parking is always super easy and you just can't beat working out on the water. Great variety of folks who attend to so it's easy to feel part of the group. Even at my first class, it was easy to follow along with the help of the instructor and fellow classmates.”

“I really wish this gym was closer to my home. Being an alumni, I had gone back but the driving distance and lack of parking to enter the facility makes it really tough. Anyways, from my undergrad experience, the rock climbing wall was one of the best to get people into rock climbing. Secondly, the indoor running track provides space to the overall gym giving it a less crowded environment, and the equipment provided was well utilized. You often had people hogging the weight section so there was never really a good time to use that. The yoga and pilates classes or individual courses were offered but it never seemed to be around when a majority of students were available to use it. I really liked the Robeks that was on the first floor. I'm not sure if it's there anymore, but it's nice to had a large indoor seating area to eat before you actually went into the gym to study.”

“I've started coming for Zumba classes in addition to a couple of strength/lifting classes and I absolutely LOVE it! The owner is very welcoming and friendly, she keeps you motivated. She keeps it fun with high energy, I highly, highly recommend Active8 if you're looking for a a way to stay active or begin your fitness journey. Celine the owner will help you step by step with a plan of exercise and nutrition to meet your goals. Celine will make you feel very comfortable if you have any questions or need help/tips. Active8 not only offers fitness classes but shakes, protein bowls (they're amazing) and even energy teas. Active8 is kept very clean from the restroom to all her workout equipment like dumbbells, weights, kettle bells and other equipment.”

“Hitting my one year in about 2 weeks. And I can say signing up for a membership here has been one of the best decisions I’ve made towards taking my fitness seriously. It’s very close to where I live, huge parking lot, a lot of heavy bags to practice, the staff are really cool and friendly. No drama between members or between staff. A full array of weights and machines. The entire gym is clean and doesn’t have that sweaty smell other gyms have. And I love the music selection the blast throughout the day.For those comments who say there are hidden fees. They do disclose fees. All gyms have fees. I don’t understand why this concept is foreign to some people. Maybe they’ve never had a gym membership before.Anyways, this gym rocks. It has it all and the coaches / community are really cool. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.”

“I used to come here before I got injured and changed insurance (which is gym was a part of). Everyone was super friendly and the music was great. I felt really welcomed. AND this is not like Zumba. People actually give you instructions. You won't feel lost at all.I'm on the younger side but this place kicked my butt. This isn't your mama's Jazzercise. These ladies mean business!I recommend this to anyone!”

“I have been coming to the Fitness Center since 2012 and I love the convenience of their lunch classes. Zumba, cycling, bodysculpt, yoga, kettlebells and step classes are all awesome. Great instructors that have been there for years too. The owner is very nice and the prices are affordable. Love this gym!”
