The maintenance team and whole staff are excellent, especially Manny who quickly responds to maintenance requests and addresses the issue in no time. The leasing office keeps all residents informed and are quick to respond to any issues or concerns.”

The staff at the property always made me feel heard seen and taken care of, as well as safe as a female living alone in Dtla
Carlos, the security guard is always taking his job so serious and I respect that a lot and the way he protects the property and residents. Vincent and other maintenance is absolutely wonderful and it's the only time I've ever trusted anyone to go into my apartment without me being home. I've lived at so many high-rises and never felt safe letting any of the staff in my place unattended, I even feel that way at my new place! I never felt this at the Brockman and anyone who came into my unit did everything properly and with care.
But the biggest thank you to Mike who really makes a resident feel welcomed from the beginning to the end and always took any of my needs or concerns so serious and handled things in such a professional manner. Brockman was the best experience I ever had as a renter in Los Angeles and if I could pick this building up and put it down in a better area, I would stay forever!”

All I can say is, wow, what an amazing experience I had while I lived there and it was because of the amazing staff.Jack Wallach, Izabella, and the rest of the leasing team, top tier talent within the property management game. They have done a great job not only the amazing residents but even the occasional difficult ones. “I do not live here, but I took a tour and had an excellent experience with Zach B. who answered all of my questions, sent detailed instructions for a self-tour (of a very clean and lovely unit), and explained everything I would need to know about Hampshire Place. There was a nice common area with grills and a pool (again, very clean and well-kept) and the elevators were in great working order. People were friendly who I spoke to and asked about the building, and it seems like a nice place to live.”

Be sure to visit areas like Hermosa beach, Torrance and Pasadena instead of the Instagram places like Venice or Malibu. LA is huge, be sure to enjoy it all!!”

Apartment living will always come with certain trade offs but the amenities, cleanliness, community and neighborhood hold an amazing standard for the price you pay for rent. “We are all excited to move into this new apartment. It looks great. The elevator is huge and mostly the building smells good. A lot of facilities in it. Only the thing that they need to improve is the stairs. It looks scary for my kids, but they get used to it and prefer to use it as a short cut. The Manager is awesome. He is very helpful and accommodating. He is so calm, friendly especially to my kids and also good looking. My sister wants to move-in here too, maybe soon.”

“Been living here for about 5 months now, this is definitely the best building we've lived in by far in LA. Majority of all the complexes aren't going to be perfect, you're in an apartment but this one is the best for what you pay for.

As in other reviews, the hallways were pretty disgusting, the carpets were saturated in pee which made the halls smell horrible. But they just tore everything out & put brand new carpet in. Place looks brand new now! The smell is completely gone. So they were aware & did something about it which gets huge points.

Another con is the garage gate was broken for a while & there was a couple of cars that got broken into, including my friends. They didn't really do anything about it.. it eventually got fixed but that was a little annoying.
Besides that, the building feels super secure, packages are very secure which I like, & the amenities are super nice & pretty clean. I also have seen a total of maybe 3 fruit flies in total in my house. I have never seen such a bug less apartment. Not complaining about that lol

The building itself is so quiet, I hear nothing sometimes. The neighborhood is super quiet too. It's so peaceful. I hardly hear my neighbors. Just normal sounds like the occasional heavier foot steps but seriously it's so quiet.

The maintenance team will fix anything so fast. We had our washer leaking at 8PM & put in a request & he was there in 20 minutes fixing it.

So weighing the pros & cons, we are very happy here so far. Hopefully it doesn't change for us.”

“I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon Highland Villas. It ended up being the perfect place to live during my time in LA. The apartment was close to the train, and I was able to take the train to work every day, which made my commute so easy. The parking was very safe, and Highland Park is just cool.

Brenda, the manager, was beyond amazing. She was always so kind, helpful, and responsive, and she made me feel right at home. Her whole family was wonderful and really created a welcoming environment. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to live or better people to rent from. I highly recommend Highland Villas to anyone looking for a great home on the eastside.”

The interior design allows for the natural light - particularly sunsets - to be a strong protagonist of an amazing atmosphere, the distribution and spaces is practical and balanced, furnishing is top level, many functions controlled by your smartphone, never had to wait for the elevator, a social roof top with a great view and amenities, a very practical Amazon hub, spacious parking and definitely, a great location in Santa Monica, close to everything you might need.The best of it though, is a very efficient administrative team, from services to repairs, lead by Haley Landswell, who is extremely professional, warm, always smiling - even by email - and emphatic to resolve and fix any kind of issues presented.Check it out and don't hesitate, but ask for Haley!”

“I stayed at 8500 Burton for a couple months earlier this year. Amazing property with gracious and responsive staff that you typically see at a luxury hotel and not an apartment building. The rooftop pool and gym are beautiful. Added bonuses to living in the building are the free pastries each morning and the the complementary black car service to and from LAX.”
