Sunset Transmission is an honest and professional shop with helpful, easy-going mechanics. The work is affordable, done well, and often saves customers thousands compared to dealerships. They provide prompt service, meticulously diagnose issues, and carefully explain problems. The technicians are eager to continue their education and install only high-quality parts with strong warranties.
The experience is often described as amazing and smooth, even in stressful situations. They maintain a pleasant, clean, and well-equipped facility. The service is highly recommended, with many customers stating they will definitely return for any future transmission work. The shop is known for being responsive with daily updates via phone and text, and for its fairness, as demonstrated by not charging for an inspection that found no problem. Sunset Transmission, started in 1961, is committed to honesty and quality car and truck care.
Professional and honest service. Baha is running a fantastic garage. This would be my #1 choice for a transmission specialist in all of L.A.

These guys are top notch, I even needed a favor a few days later and they obliged. They didn't need to do that but it felt very human and community forward. I'll recommend these guys to anyone that needs transmission help!
