“Bicycle Outfitter has the most extensive knowledge and the highest level of customer service I've experienced in many years of bike shopping in the Bay Area. I recently shopped for a gravel bike and worked closely with store manager, Danny Brown. He was patient and knowledgeable in showing me the many analog/traditional bike options as well as e-bike options. He clearly explained the spec differences and nuances, and he added observations that were important to my decision-making. Danny offered me the opportunity to ride as many different bikes as needed, and I never felt pressured or hurried to make a decision. I felt like the mutual goal was to find the right bike for me, not upsell me to something I didn't want or need.
In addition, the bike purchase included (at no extra charge) a very thorough fitting done by bike-fitter Chris. The fitting process was also exceptional, filled with detailed measurements and adjustments, thoughtful questions about my riding preferences, and excellent observations and suggestions from Chris' wealth of experience. The end result was a fine-tuned fitting that has maximized my enjoyment of my new Specialized Creo. I can't recommend Danny, Chris and the Bicycle Outfitter team enough, and I have already begun sending friends there.”

“I was looking on Google and I came across this bike shop and remembered George. 20 years ago I did a bike tour across the US for charity and George was the one who helped me build the right bike for the tour. My bike only broke a couple spokes, and a few other minor things during the entire summer. I was very pleased with all the help George gave me to build a reliable bike that I could enjoy during that tour. Updated in 2025. Shortly after I wrote this review one night my six year old Shepherd was looking at the magazines from the 2000s and got the idea....... He asked me if I could train him to cycle all the way to New York from Seattle. After a long chat I said yes and three years later we got to spend an entire summer cycling east together. It was the MOST incredible experience of my life and grateful for everyone who made it possible..... Including George:). Thanks brother 👍”

“I have had many terrific experiences with James at Got Bikes. His prices are not inflated as I have read in some reviews. He worked on a few of my bikes and is super knowledgeable and professional and actually tried to save me money. His shop is organized and he gets the work done when he states it will be completed. I would bring any bike to him and know that if he works on it and says it is ready, it is. If he tells me something may need to be replaced, I know he could do the work or tell me I could do it myself and save money. That is how you know you are dealing with a great shop and a good guy!”

“I recently bought a bike from Walt's Cycle, and I couldn't be happier. I walked in half expecting to get overcharged, like you sometimes do at bike shops, but their prices were completely fair. They're actually more affordable than other shops I checked.
The staff really stood out. They're warm, welcoming, and truly know their stuff. You can tell they're passionate about cycling. Even when you're not buying anything, they're happy to share honest, helpful advice.
The bike itself is fantastic. It rides smoothly, feels solid, and I've enjoyed every single ride. I really, really love it! Their helmets and other accessories are also good quality and reasonably priced, so I got everything I needed in one place.

“I bought my 2002 Specialized Expedition city bike at the Santa Clara Off Ramp and it has served me well. Recently, the bottom bracket bearings failed. After trying to remove the bracket to replace it myself, I decided to take it to the Off Ramp not sure it was still repairable. The Off Ramp mechanic said it wasn't easy, but he manage to remove the old seized bracket and replace it with a new one. I'm back on the road a happy rider and customer :)”
“My wife and I stopped by Fast Bicycle yesterday on our way to Half Moon Bay for a special cycling and running day together. Right before loading the bikes, the valve on my rear tire failed. We were already running late, and I asked if they could help immediately. Even though they were busy and said it would be difficult, they found a way to fit me in. The repair was completed in about 10 minutes, saved our day, and they even refused the extra money I offered for the rush service. Friendly, professional, and genuinely customer-focused. Thanks to the team for helping us enjoy a wonderful day. Highly recommend!”

“I'm an avid cyclist and work on all my own bikes, so I don't need a lot of help. They advertised a bicycle for sale on Facebook, and it was there on the floor, for sale at that price. It was well made, albeit was probably sitting there for awhile because it was a very old model, and I found that the tires were fused to the rim tape: something that only happens when a tire has been sitting for a long time. Other than that the gear was adjusted pretty much perfectly, the bike was entirely lubriated correctly and works great.
This is an old school BMX shop from the looks of it, but hey, it was a good bike for a good price. Don't expect 5/5 Mikes Bikes/Summit Bicycles shop, though. Maybe normies should go to REI down the street.”

The repair staff looked at it immediately and took it in that day Tow days later, they called me with an estimate and the suggested repairs. I told him to go ahead and do it. I got the bike back. Everything worked perfectly it was clean and shipshape ready to go.. I can highly recommend their service department and the friendly staff. Pleasure to do business with”
