You will be greeted at the door...and maybe by the store "mascot" Nala...a chocolate brown lab with a badge on patrol weekends. The guys and gals are very helpful. I've bought paint...mixed within minutes, a fast key fob upgrade, and lots of other "hardware."”

“I often describe hardware stores as toy stores for middle aged family men and this place is the KayBee of local hardware stores. Staff is helpful, the goods offered are varied and of good quality. It's also very convenient that it's located just on the south end of Los Gatos. If you live on one of the nearby mountains you can be in and out without the hassles of traffic in the town proper. As an added bonus the USPS office is right across the street.”

“I typically go to Home Depot for parts as I am an electrical contractor. So I'm working near by this Ace hardware and stop in. I look around and buy a few electrical parts for a job nearby and start chatting about a question I had about my EGO leaf blower. I told this gentleman about the battery issue I had with it and figured it was out of warranty and figured I was out of luck, but thought I would ask anyways. I like the blower, but would hate to dump it, but the first battery died very quickly and I didn't bother to take it back to Los Gatos ACE where I originally purchased it at. I spoke with Mr. Frazier and he said he would try and help. He asked me to get him the battery and would call the company. I was shocked at the customer service. I mean even to try was a huge plus. I didn't think it would honestly work since it was out of warranty. He said he would do his best. Now I deal with Home Depot most of the time and their customer service is horrible, so I was used to that type of service. Not here. No way. Matt actually called me 2 days later and said the new battery would be available for pick up in a few days. I couldn't fricken believe it. I am not used to this kind of service, from anybody. Damn if the battery was not there when he said. Matt Frazier, thank you. I never see such service. Ever. Thank you for not only trying, but for going WAY beyond what anybody does these days. Your kind of service almost doesn't exist anymore. Thank you for bringing SERVICE BACK. 5 star service. Will be going back.”

Variety of surge protectors. Grade 8 lock washers. Big stuff you normally would not find in other places. Better hardware selection that tractor supply in Gilroy.”

“Typical store with the typical layout.. home depot wanted 31 + for some dewalt wood clamps.. found a better clamp at Harbor Freight for 9 dollars.. love there Pittsburgh tools with the lifetime warranty at super low prices. And I haven't been to one yet were everyone who worked there wasn't friendly. Great company, great selections, great people... =win.”

“We recently moved into a home with a unique lock and I needed to visit a specialty hardware store to buy a replacement.Alum Rock Hardware, Windows & Doors popped up as close by and had great reviews, so I stopped in. I spent quite a while talking to Wayne who gave me a great education on lock types, showed me what kind of lock my home has and how to use it, talked me through options of replacing the lock and/or replacing the door, how to repair what I have vs replace, etc. I was so grateful for all the knowledge he shared and we ended up coming up with a game plan together.It was great to find such a genuine, honest, and helpful company to work with. No high pressure sales pitch, just working with the customer to find out what they need and help them get it even if there may be other, more expensive, options that would benefit the company more. I was very impressed, and so grateful to have found Wayne and Alum Rock Hardware, Windows & Doors. I highly recommend them and plan to use them for all future door and window needs as well.”

“I know that simply being open on a Saturday when every similar store in the area is closed is not in itself necessarily the criterion for 5 stars.And I know that having a pull start assembly for a specific model of Echo leaf blower in stock, on the shelf, when no one else did (even if anyone else had been open), this avoiding at least a weeks wait time for a special order elsewhere, isn't in itself necessarily worthy of 5 stars. But maybe.And I know that after researching parts online and in stores, and expecting an investment of $60-120 for the individual part(s), but then being shocked (in q good way) at only having to pay $26 maybe isn't a stand-alone requisite foundation for a 5 star review. But maybe it is.And being helped at the counter quickly, efficiently, and in a most friendly manner on my very first time ever in there isn't necessarily... Well you get the idea of where I'm going with this ... I hope.So when you compute the algebraic formula and apply Six's Theorum of Positive Continuity to derive a median assessment with a cosine integer of cubed... ummm... something or rather... You derive a considerably solid 5 stars (out of a possible 5 star) rating.At least *I* do.And that was my experience.”

I told him I would be by the next day. He informed me that he would not be in, but would pass on my request to the person on shift the next day. “These guys are on it! They had a shower pan I have been hunting for for days now. Nothing available online and had hit the big box stores like Home Depot (cheaper product and sold out) and Lowe’s. I had also hit other boutique places and had no luck they wanted weeks to get what I unexpectedly needed. I called them up. They ordered my pan and said they would have it the next day. They called me the next day late morning to let me know it had arrived. Pick up was easy! They loaded it in the car for me and staff was very friendly. If you are on the hunt for anything plumbing these are your guys don’t waste your time elsewhere.”

“This store...where do I begin? Open your imagination to include all the many needs you never would have considered possible to be fulfilled by a plastics retailer. Whether it is a display box for memorabilia, a picture frame of museum quality, a replacement part for a boat, clear roofing for a pergola, an All-Gender restroom sign, mold making materials, fiberglass for boat and car repairs, signage displays...I could go on for awhile, still failing to capture the extent of this store's possibilities. The service is fast and it is done professionally. A mistake, while uncommon, is corrected with haste. The price - for the quality, speed, and accuracy (that is, in how they turn what was once only a dream into reality) - is well worth it. TAP is unmatched in the plastic retailer marketplace; no other store can come close.”

I came in here and spent an hour with Kristin and walked out with an interior and exterior paint palette that would make even the Property Brothers jealous! Kristin is calm, has an exceptional style sense, and is incredibly helpful. “When my husband I and finally decided to tackle some repairs to the façade of our home, we decided to get a new front door, as well. I started to look at Google images for what I wanted and promptly found the most obscure mid-century modern "diamond door" of my dreams. Luckily, our most excellent contractor (Ted Tamone) pointed us in the direction of Pacific Doorcraft. When I entered the showroom, I was greeted by Andrew (owner), who quickly became as excited about my vision as I was, and quickly gave me some options for pulling everything together. When I returned to the showroom with my husband to hammer out the details, we met with Ivan, who very patiently explained what would be needed in terms of the type of wood, glass, staining options, and of course, hardware. Ivan was always available for questions and replied to our emails, texts, and phone calls promptly. He even found a way to have the fluted glass cut on the bias, so that it would be vertical, to fit the diamond shape, rather than installed on an angle to fit the square shape, for which I thought we would have to settle. I cannot express how happy we are with our new front door, and with the excellent service we received at Pacific Doorcraft!”

“We came in to get a feel for paint, as we’re doing a renovation and needed to make some decisions. His was our first stop. Nicholas is a color specialist there who was SO great. We decided to purchase all of our paint from Benjamin Moore because of him. We went back three times in one day, with more questions each time, and he was amazing each time. He has great, thoughtful questions (how much shade does your house get? What color are the houses around yours? What direction does your house face?) and made suggestions based off them. Plus he answered every question we had with a ton of insight.We are going back to consult with him on all of our interior paints, too. He gave us a list of things to come back with so he could help us pick the right colors for each. We really appreciate his thoughtfulness!!”
