“I went to Whole Foods to get bone in prime rib and the guy at the butcher counter laughed and said “we don’t carry that here.” So I came to Saratoga Meats thinking I would have to special order, but they had it right there and carved a great set for me. As others have noted, not cheap, but I was very pleased with the quality.”

“I always purchased from Genes Mkt. One day I asked the butcher where they got them from...the rest is history. When you see and enter the shop it's like out of a scene from The Soprano's. They have the glass cases, the refrigerator storeroom in the back, and the processing area to the left. Very minimal, old school. The best. I always place my order ahead of time and they have it ready. Hot or mild, in the casing or bulk. Family run and owned. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You will be kicking yourself in the butt for not knowing about them sooner. Oh, by the way, the sausages are delicious !!”

“This is the best desi grocery store in the area, offering a great variety of products at very reasonable prices compared to others.
I especially appreciate that the fish and meat are always fresh, and they’ll even cut them for you at no extra charge. Hasan is incredibly friendly and helpful, which makes the shopping experience even better.
I usually prefer visiting on weekdays since it’s less crowded.”

“I have never been in a grocery store so clean and friendly. Produce is so decorative, the organization and displays are amazing. Mostly bi-lingual but no discrimination. Everyone is treated with love and respect. Offered help multiple times while walking in the store. Meats and fish are super fresh. Well displayed and pricing is very good. I took home shrimp and salsa. Everything is fresh and I was seriously impressed. Staff were amazing Will continue to being a patron based on this. Make sure to lock-up the car though due to people cutting thru the parking lot. I go there for the best fried pigskins around.”

“I came here solely for the taco nadas and left with pizza nadas as well. They are $2 each. These savory pastries bring back so many memories from high school. My friends and I have been eager to have a taco nada again and I was happy to have found this place! The lady who was working was very welcoming and nice. “This place is not as bad as other "Yelpers" are making it to be, however this place can use a slight face-lift. It's not necessarily a place to do your full blown shopping. Items that are "popular" to the so called American customers and not so much to the Brown Indigenous (Native American/Mexican,etc) yes those items will obviously be outdated. I mainly go there for the queso fresco Mexicano and purple corn tortilla and at times I get other items that are likely to be in high demand GET IT. For example I won't go to an "Asian" market to look for tortilla or Tapatio hot sauce WHY because I know at that particular store it's not in HIGH DEMAND!!!!”
