“Overall, such a welcoming experience, the employees in here are a very dedicated, although pretty small they do have good food selection. I highly recommend the Chili and lime chips.”
“I've recently switched to shopping at Nob Hill in LG, after being a longtime shopper at the nearby S-Way, where all the employees seem so unhappy. This Nob Hill store is chill, has most everything I need, and the employees are pleasant, helpful, and have been there forever. No self-checkout stand in sight, which is great, and good customer service.”
“Name should be BooMart. It's a very nice grocery store, well-stocked, clean, and large so there's a large selection of things. However the prices are high, but then there's a reason for this.
It's Boomer Central. The shoppers - a mix of Boomers and, I think, care workers out shopping for Boomers. The checkout staff? Boomers. There's a nice little nook for sitting with a drink or some food, and I had some (overpriced) sushi and a kefir there then did some study, while the place filled up with, you guessed it, Boomers. Homeless Boomers. Yep there are homeless there, they're just all Boomers. So I got the full-volume speaker phone thing they like to do, the shouting conversations about how it's the end of the world that Starbucks is simplifying their menu, and so on.
I also overheard more boomer goodness from the checkouts, some surliness, the guy using Hawaiian words - "Mah-haw-low!" etc. to show he'd been there or owns a time-share there or something - the usual Boomerisms.
Since I couldn't really study, I observed. It was a continual stream of Boomers going in and out. This is why the prices are high - they're in Boomer money which is different from yours or mine in that there's a lot more of it.
So if you wish to observe Boomers in their natural habitat, this is the place! It's a great market, but you must embrace the boom.”
“I’m giving them five stars because they’re awesome for helping reunite a lost dig with its family. I’m planning to head over this weekend to buy something to support them.”
“Gorgeous WF with a Whole Body next door and it's so beautiful and full of amazing products and produce and I love it here!! The parking lot is busy so please be careful!!”
“The best part of Los Gatos. I miss you every day, 24-hour Safeway.
I have many of my fondest memories here. 3am visits. Running into people from high school. Playing Monopoly with a friend by the elevators.
Thanks for your accessibility with food and alcohol many years ago, when I was a troubled teenager.
I won't forget you or your unlocked side door.”
“It is what it is lol sometimes I catch someone missing from the deli or something like that but I think it's because they are doing other work so no real big complaints.”
“Safeway at this location was great! TheirCustomer service are excellent and the store manager is very helpful when I was there to return the salmon that my sister got me and I end up returning it at this location and they still accomodate my returns instead of having me driving back and ford. I ended up purchased bigger pack of salmon from this store.”
“This is my absolute favorite market in Santa Cruz and I have been coming here for years! Great food! They have everything, so fresh and super nice staff. Love this place so much!”
