“Excellent location right on the water with an amazing view of Morro Rock. The room was very large with a large shower, fireplace and a chess table we used for a game night. Restaurants were a short walk today. Served coffee and mini muffins in the lobby in the morning. Highly recommended!”
“It was the most amazing weekend @ the Sunset Inn. The bed & breakfast was delicious, peach French toast was amazing. With a nice mimosa to go along with my frittata. Very quiet & beautiful sunsets with an amazing view. I suggest asking for the Bali room. Overall a great relaxing place. We will return. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.”

“We stayed one night at Sundown Inn and really enjoyed it. We booked it the same day. The location was great, close to sole restaurants and the water. The room was super clean, vintage vibe but not run down, it looked pretty new and renovated. The lady at the desk was very friendly. Would recommend to stay here!”

“Our stay a treat. Our room toward back was a nice size and very comfortable, with a firm bed. Took a little while to figure out the heat/AC but they do provide instructions. The inn has a nice feel made special by little touches like potted plants around the courtyard and even in the easement behind our room. Staff were friendly and helpful, though the office wasn’t always staffed but assistance was only a phone call away.”

“4 senior siblings had a lovely three night reunion at this Inn. Very comfortable and lovingly decorated rooms, with fine baths and outdoor space. Plus a lovely garden with seating too. Our host was gracious and always available for suggestions of restaurants, etc. The breakfast included fresh scones every day. Large living room gave the four of us a place to gather, which was the purpose of our trip. Location is super convenient. Onsite as well as street parking.”

“We spent about 4 days and 3 nights here recently due to a Cal Poly visit. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! Only 10-15 mins away from San Luis Obispo Cal Poly. The room was clean. Beds comfy. Refrigerator, TV, things you would expect. I had left a voice message prior to our arrival and never received a call back. That was a little disappointing. If you need more towels you must go to the office and ask for more. Hotel stay was quiet. Could hear people upstairs walking and talking. Car as safe. Parking lot a little small. However, you are literally across the street from the bay water and shops! Morro Rock is right up the street. Lovely place to visit with a walking trail that leads to the Pacific Ocean!! Many wildlife to see like otters, seal lions, squirrels, birds. I even saw people kayaking in the bay. This was my favorite place to visit. I climbed rocks and sat for two hours watching the beautiful come waves! Many places to eat and walking distance to everything. That is what I loved most. Like I said, clean. Didn’t see any critters inside the room. No weird odors. Shower floor was a little awkward to stand on. Overall, great stay and would likely stay again due to the convenience. Pricing reasonable.”
“Almost dont want to share how amazing this place was to visit. Our view to the town and sea was amazing. The walk to town and shore was minutes. We brought our bikes and rode around town. If you're looking for night life this isnt the place to visit. Everything closes early. But if you're looking for a place to unwind and reconnect with nature and share with a special someone, this is the place to visit.”

“We used to come yearly since 2005 for the car show. Always have room 307 (Estero Point). Been a bit because I was a judge at tge Pismo car show. Well we missed Morro Bay. Got our usual room, and honestly had the best time ever. We want to book for the same time 2027 (weekend of May 14). Just a suggestion...if the (or any room is not book the night prior to arrival), offer a substantial discount. We would have loved to come Friday night instead!”

“It's your basic hotel with good prices. Beach is a 2 minute walk away. Clean and friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for affordable rooms. We got the family suite. 3 queen beds, 2 rooms. It was awesome.”

“I've stayed in Morro Bay many times and this hotel is the best I've found. Great location, wonderful staff, very clean and nice amenities. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a view room that looked towards Montana de Oro (no view of the rock). There is a 3rd floor viewing deck with table and chairs that has a fantastic view of the rock and it is where we had happy hour and ate dinner on night. The staff is so friendly. Being able to walk to the rock and the main part of time made it really relaxing. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend and hope to be back soon!”

“We loved this place.It is a older hotel,but very clean,spacious and charming.The girl at the front desk was very nice,she brought me and extra pillow upon rewuest.We had a balcony that overlooked Morro rock.There is no ac but it was not needed. They also have a nice little Continental breakfast. The room has Dove shampoo,conditioner and body wash.The price was only a little over a hundred dollars.We would definitely stay here agsin.Our room also had a fireplace.Not sure if it worked.”

“Recently had our first stay at the Back Bay Inn and it will definitely not be our last! The room was clean and had all necessities. The view was absolutely incredible! Staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s a small private area that over looks the bay and it was such a nice bonus! Not to mention, it’s next to a fantastic coffee shop, the Nautical Bean. We have family nearby and have tried out a few different places to stay, but this by far was our favorite. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time and cannot wait to come back!!”
