“The place is great, very comfortable. However when I got there I noticed the entire building’s outside walls were being renovated.
We had no previous warning so naturally we gen arriving at 1AM we had a distasteful surprise. However once the work is done, it’s a great place to stay in Manhattan Beach”

“Some rooms have been remodeled. Premium rooms are about 20 more than the regular yet to be remodeled units. But it's amazing! A studio kitchenette couch boutique vibe. Don't judge a book by its cover here! But if you don't get a Premium room- don't expect anything spectacular. Just like anything else, you get what you pay for! And the couple runs the place are so sweet and accommodating. I've been here over 2 weeks and I'll be sad when I have to leave.”

“Love this hotel. The people, gym, outdoor pool and lounging area, and the attached 9 hole executive golf course all make for a terrific work, or recreational, stay. Nicely done to all who take care of us here!”

“Love this place! Me and my bros do an annual trip here every year. Fantastic location just steps away from the beach. Free bike rentals too. Rooms are a bit older, but have lots of charm. Highly recommend”

“This was a work trip and it was convenient for where we were going, but I don't know if I would stay here if it were a personal trip. I was there for an overnight trip so I didn't go to the restaurant or gym. The Belamar looks like it was an old apartment building converted to a hotel and the rooms were passed off as hipster with the in room record player. My coworker who lives in the area says that it's been converted several times. The hallway and stairwell give away it's age. Pros: Staff was very courteous and friendly. Close to the Point (high end shops and restaurants) There's a green belt for walking, plus the neighborhood has charming homes to walk past. Bikes are for rent. The hotel has a deal with Soul Cycle. Record players in every room. It's fine for an overnight trip. I was able to have the hotel hold my bags while I was in a meeting. That was very convenient. Just OK: Parking is tight and it's $25 for overnight parking. The records are in the lobby. I know one Yelper was made comments about their choice in music, but I kind of agree and the records I did play were dated past our parents era and scratched. It's time to purge and upgrade with newer used records. The beds are kind of low. I thought it was odd, but some people with mobility issues may not like it. The bathtub needed an upgrade or repaint, but the shower was fine. For convenience to The Point, LAX, Manhattan Beach and visiting F&F in the area, it will work for most.”

“A nice convenient location, good sized rooms with full size fridges, not the under counter types.
Overall no complaints whatsoever.
The staff were absolutely fantastic, everyone was very friendly. Shoutout to Eileen who takes care of the Breakfast area. Her greetings and smiles made our mornings.”
“Had the king suite room for 7 nights, really nice room, enjoyed the big bath tub a lot! Room service came everyday and cleaned up the room which was nice. Only downside is you have to pay for parking, I would definitely go again.”
“Love Shade for brunch! Victor is the absolute best! He always takes such great care of us❤️ Gustavo and Nick are also so lovely and really know how to treat customers.”
