“Staff is very nice. Though I haven't required too much advice while shopping here, the staff seem helpful and knowledgeable. They do have a variety of most products. However, there was one ot two instances where they carried similar parts but not the one or the size I needed.”
“I had trouble initially trying to get online information regarding the status of my package delivery. The email I sent, however, was answered immediately and the much awaited bulb arrived shorty thereafter. I assign the stars to the representative who made this work. The ability to get through to the company regarding online customer inquiries is in great need for improvement.”
“I called inquiring about a copper fitting. The attendant on phone actually asked to be placed on hold to make sure it was in stock. It was confirmed. Though driving to there, I haven't visited the area post burnt surroundings. Of course I saw the news outlet pictures, but seeing the aftermath just broke my heart. But my experience in the store was great.efficient, professional, and just pleasure to see all there beaming smiling faces. ♥️”
“When I needed something and couldn't find it anywhere, I stopped at A-1 and found it there. It's now my go to hardware store. Even found a hand made walking stick which is also a piece of art!!”
“I would like to give a big shoutout to Benjamin and Alec! I am a total noob when it comes to building things and am planning on building a banquette. Benjamin went out of his way to help me regarding the wood and find additional help on my questions and Alec was very knowledgeable about how to build things and gave great tips! I highly rec this place!”
“Best hardware store in LA the team running the store really knows their stuff, especially for plumbing my wife and I get help from them to find the right parts to fix plumbing issues all the time”
“This is the best hardware store. The staff are so helpful, especially for someone like me who doesn’t have a lot of experience navigating the DIY Projects I ambitiously take on.
I decided to paint my apt and wanted to be riskier. I picked a few samples that didn’t land and almost lost hope. But Brian (sp?) was so encouraging and reassured me to keep going! He was so right and he helped me pick Hasbrouck Brown for my bedroom.
I was coming in every other day for a week and they never got sick of me. Graeme is the paint expert and helped me get setup for success, getting all the right supplies and picking my living room color.
Regardless of the project, every time you walk in there is a friendly face who says: how can I help you? And that just exemplifies how they operate- with kindness and expertise!”
“The customer service of this establishment is amazing. They are appropriately accommodating to your needs and do their best to ensure customer satisfaction. Would definitely recommend for most if not all of your paint needs.”
“Always shop small businesses! After spending 30 minutes at Ace and them not having what I needed, I walked into Emil’s and someone helped me find what I needed within 5 minutes. Good prices, good vibes. Highly recommend.”
“This hardware store has everything you could possibly need! The staff are super helpful, and they always seem to have the right tool for the job. Definitely my go-to for DIY projects.”

“They had a close replica of the light bulbs I needed to replace and were quick to respond and ship! I was a little concerned about the packaging but the bulbs were pretty sturdy and everything worked out great.”

“Sheila is the absolute best! She helped me find exactly what style and finish would be perfect for my kitchen and bathrooms. I brought samples in and she took the time to explain what would look the best. And the quality was exceptional. In top of that she's is the sweetest, most patient person. Highly recommend.”
“I have been a huge fan of Harbor freight as a company for a very long time. The quality of the tools continues to improve while the prices remain very reasonable.
This particular store is very similar to most other so cal locations. It offers a wide variety of Tools and other Chinese made goodies. Unfortunately, most of the California locations that I have been to all seem to employ people with very poor customer service. At this location it feels like the employees are jaded. At first I thought that maybe they were just having a bad day, but nope. I have been here dozens of times and they still seem very cold and dismissive”
“Great selection, quality, and prices for plywood. Also great customer service from everyone including Leslie!! Only downside is I wish they were open one day of the weekend”
“I have a project to do checked all around for a paint shop with a Pantone book dating no one had it they did the gentleman's name ismax he took care of me and it's an asset to the company”
“Love Tashman!! The best hardware store in LA! I have gone in many times over the past 2 years of living in the area and every single time they are helpful, kind, genuinely want to help and do it all with a smile. From replacing glass on a vintage frame to cutting a litter box so my senior pet can still use the potty, they are the best!! Go here if you need anything for your life/home!”

“What a wonderful place! It goes way beyond the usual hardware store. It's a museum in itself and worth your time just to see the beautiful craftsmanship of the antique door knobs and every manner of hardware. It's a trip into the past in a good way!”
“Been coming here for years for my expendibles and fog machine rentals. I also saved up money to have a custom on set cart built. It was worth every penny. These guys are always quick to answer and react when you need something. They are also one of the few places to get a 12' wide rolls of seamless.”
“The staff is always helpful, friendly, and professional. They take the time to make sure we find what we need and that everything is handled smoothly at checkout. The overall experience is always positive, and the team makes the store easy and pleasant to shop in.”
“I had a great experience at Paintcraft Ace Hardware. The layout of the store makes it easy to find everything, and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you need paint, brushes, or hardware, this location makes picking up supplies a smooth process.”
“Super easy to get in with plenty of parking. Also this particular shopping center has other places, like the grocery, Subway, and can't remember all the names, but it's worth coming here.”
“Best service you can get.
Working next door at Avis & if they don’t got the material in stock they always have it next day. Angel & the crew are very helpful, always have good attitude.”
“Did not have what I needed. The kid at the specialty counter was not a real help he went back to scolling his phone. Then I thought about a similar thing that I could make work and he was able to find that with no issue. Overall I made it work. Still a great store for selection of products. Miss some of the older more experienced people.”
“Overall I come here very often for materials for my projects. Everyone has always been helpful. Parking is a bit of a struggle with a truck due to tight size. Overall everyone is nice. Looking at other reviews that are negative I have never felt mistreated here. Prices are a bit hire for some things like lumber. But you are in middle of the city. To be honest I could drive further to get my lumber or tools but sometimes it is just convenient.”
“I had to go to this store three times for my lighting designers having issues with wiring on set, and the guy working there was so patient and helpful. Seriously the best.”

“This is THE place to go for reliable high quality parts and hoses. Tom is a no BS guy who will not lead you wrong. No matter how critical or simple, this is where I go.”
“I really appreciate the customer service I received today with Eric
He was super dedicated and efficient with my special key order.
I can’t say enough about this mans customer service. He is an asset to the store indeed.
Second time around and also had a very good experience with Paul helping me install my keyless lock. He was a very kind and very patient man. He really puts his heart and soul into what he does.”
“Excellent service A-Z. My go-to for home needs. David and his team are honest, efficient and deliver outstanding customer service, the type that you don’t see at other commercial home supply stores.”
