My visit to the LA store on Sunday the 9th was my first visit to an actual Dainese location and I just have to say WHOA! I was a kid in a candy store. But, that is not what this post is about. This is a shout out to Cristian who went above and beyond to help me out. I needed a new set of gauntlets and so headed over after calling in to ensure they had the ones I wanted in stock. Made a lot of sense in terms of the pain and imbalances I experience. I know online shopping is easy, but I'm really glad I made the trek to the store. Wayyyyy long ago it was because of the Play it Again Sports in Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, and San Diego that enabled me to start playing ice hockey at 18 (a sport I could only dream of playing at 12 when the Los Angeles Kings started airing on Prime Ticket back when Gretzky joined).
Now...mannnnnyyy years later, I'm trying to get back into hockey and so is my girlfriend. The fact we could get her gear at a significantly lower price than new prices and also get to try them on is fantastic.
It's well-worth the drive from Long Beach and even if I lived back in south Orange County, I'd make the drive to see what they have in stock.
It's clear most of their ice hockey inventory is from all the tiny kiddos wanting to try ice hockey and be like their hockey heroes - but there's a smattering of inventory for us big, ol' kiddos who want to be like our hockey heroes, too.”
