“Wow. The negative reviews are a cornucopia of self-importance and neurosis rarely seen outside of a Starbucks line. The truth is that everyone who has worked at this post office in the past dozen years is nice and helpful. The patrons I've had occasion to speak to are also very friendly. Luckily, I never encountered any of the negative Yelp reviewers.”

Efficient service.Only complaint was that parking on this street is very limited and there are many businesses (and the post office doesn't have its own designated parking).Also, it was hard to find because there's no sign at the top like there were for other businesses. Look for the hair salon next to it or the US flag.”

“I went into this post office on a hope and a prayer that they could locate a box that had been part of a mail hold but had never been delivered when the hold was lifted. After the fastest moving line I have ever seen at a government agency, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful person who took the info, disappeared to the back for 5 minutes, and came back to tell me I would be helped soon by a manager. Soon was about 10 seconds later as the manager came out and said it was handled, the package would be at my house later today. Reader, it was at my house less than an hour later. Perfect service, 10/10”
“The manager at USPS was being extremely helpful with giving information to people trying to ship last minute while short staffed with one person at the register. At the same time was being incredibly patient with an old asian lady trying to do her PO box. The person at the register was doing the most trying to finish with ringing people out. That professionalism and kindness is worthy of 5 stars.”

“I went there to mail out an urgent letter 10 minutes before they close on a Saturday, 4/22/2023. It was busy with a line of customers. The male staff that helped me was very polite and willing to provide the mailing options I got patiently. It was probably the best experience I have gotten at a USPS.”

“I have used this post office off and on since 2016. Though the wait can be very long due to limited staff, I recall the majority of my customer service experiences at the counter being very good. “Stopped by to grab a sheet of stamps for my passport and this place looks so old school. Big room for all the mail boxes but inside where you pay is very small and tight . Lucky for me there was no line when I came but heard a-lot about how this place can get so stuffy and crowded . My first time experience was actually fast , easy and very friendly. I mean the clerk at the front was very helpful and answered questions that needed to be answered . For me customer service is always a must where-ever And for this experience its a 5.”
“Went on a Saturday to for the fingerprinting services. We had to wait for a bit because there were a lot of customers which is to be expected on a weekend day. Totally worth the wait. Staff were friendly, efficient and knew what they were doing with the fingerprinting process.”

“This is my favorite post office. I find the staff are totally professional. Their hours are excellent. The self-serve kiosk is always working, and the lady who accepts the packages at the counter is amazingly efficient and responsive. My only problem with this location is it’s hard to access on public transportation, which is not the USPS’s problem, but since the West Portal station is going to be closed for so long due to the fire there, I wish the postmaster would go to bat with MUNI over re-routing some buses to Lakeshore Plaza.”

The two Asian ladies working there are super nice, especially Shirley, very patient and professional, it took around 15 minutes to take the photo and check on the forms.Actually I called a week before, and this branch is the only one that having someone pick up the phone and giving helpful information on renewal of kid's passport , that is why I chose to go there. Thank them for the service!”
