“My family and I had been dealing with a drain issue for over a year and a half, but Monterey Park Plumbing took care of it. On Monday, May 4th, Gerry was able to put up a price and have a crew out to us by Tuesday morning. The next day, Gerry returned to put the water tank back in place when the concrete had set, and he replaced all the fittings on my water tank because the previous business had used low-quality materials. I wish there was a way to award a company a perfect score of 10 st Monterey Park Plumbing because they are good.”

“Owner is kind of grumpy, but not mean or disrespectful. I've gone to this place for Smog Test(s), a few times already, it is close to home, and price is comparable to others in same area. Wait time is minimal, pretty much in and out.”
“So happy with the service I've received at this repair shop. My first experience was the day before a rainstorm. My front tires had a lot of wear on them, but the back tires were fine. I pulled into the garage and the guys rotated the tires on my car in only a few minutes leaving me feeling safe driving my kids around in a storm. Just this week the window on my car dropped into the door unexpectedly and would not close. I again drove into the garage, and the guys diagnosed the problem in less than a minute. I left my car overnight, and in less than 24 hours they repaired the window, and fixed the problem that was causing a check engine light on the panel. A+. Highly recommend.”

This is my 3rd time. I was here Before Covid. however, I spoke with the shop owner beforehand and received all the prices based on my vehicle information. However, when I arrived, he spoke differently and began adding extra charges for other reasons. He told me I could leave if I didn’t like it and said it wasn’t a big deal. I replied, “If it’s not a big deal, just go ahead and do it.”
Once the work was completed, he still charged me. He made adjustments after addressing the problem and finally said, “I made adjustments because I know people like you. Some how. His behavior felt unprofessional and unnecessary today.
Still he is good mechanic.”

“A nice shop located at the 76 Gas Station on Garfield Ave right off the south of 10 freeway. The owner does all the work himself, and he's very efficient and knowledgeable at his work.
I heard he's been doing this for about 10 years and has a really good reputation with the locals. I always come here for an oil change since it's usually really fast and the price is reasonable. Sometimes, it gets busy if there are other people waiting since they don't have other staff.
It might get crowded since it's on a busy intersection. But you can usually find a parking pretty fast.”

“Update 11/25:
I have moved to Whittier since my first review and still take cars here for more sophisticated and complex work. I had been lax on maintaining my nearly 20 year old E550. Major issue were the air shocks. Original diagnosis was a compressor issue but Chris found an electrical issue....much less expensive that the compressor. He saved me a grip of cash which was reason I was lax with maitaining of E550 in first place. He did some other PM stuff on the ride and my little rocket ship is ready for road once again. Thanks Chris and crew!
