“Excellent place to buy your meat if you're planning to have a party or a gathering. The meat is already marinated. I bought a little bit of everything to last me for the whole week. I found out about this place through family every time my daughter used to come over she would bring this amazing meat and we will have a barbecue I will ask her, Where this place is at. I visited a family member and I was around that area so I stopped and I'm so glad I did. Best meat.”

“Was greeted and both the young girl and young man were sweet and helpful. The young male college student went above and beyond, made great conversation with his customers. I will be going back. They also offer curb pick up. .”

“You can get almost everything, just not necessarily the small amounts of some things. Otherwise, a large and, above all, affordable selection. The price-performance ratio is significantly better, similar to a discounter. The shop was clean and well maintained. Enough parking spaces.”

“Real nice store.
They have a lot of things that you can't get in a regular store.
A little pricey but if you want to eat healthy that's the place to go.
Also friendly workers and clean store.”

“So close to my neighborhood and right next to Luisa & Sons in the stater bros grocery plaza! My family has been coming here since it was formerly "Kaunlaran." This neighborhood Pinoy store sells fresh food as well as shelf life goods and some fresh produce. It's small but if you need something they are conveniently right there. They take both cash and card. In my opinion they have THE BEST chicharrone around town, for real.. "talaga!" It's crunchy, not too greasy/salty, and will outshine ANY pre-packaged chicharrone. 1 pound bag goes along away and is about $7-8. It's worth it. Buy local, buy homemade, and support Asian-Pinoy-Brown businesses.”

“Very small store but provides a good variety of items to purchase. The items are cheap and if your looking for hardware tools they have a good amount of it. The man running the store is also polite.”

“Northgate has so many treats for you! Love to go there and pick from the many choices for lunch . I had 2 tamales and some beans a few days back. 17$. I thought next time, I'll sit and be served my lunch for that much. When I buy off the counter or the supermarket, I expect it to be less than a sit down lunch.
Food was ok, tamales were moist and flavorful. The corn one was my favorite with a sweet flavor. Still, too expensive for 2 tamales at the supermarket.”

“6/4/23 Hubby reminded me how good their pozole is and I was in search for beef bones for my bone broth. Ordered one for dining-in their small restaurant within the market. You will encounter it on your right as soon as enter R & G. The ladies at the cafeteria style shop are very nice attentive. Within a few minutes the pozole was ready-it wasn't as hot so hubby requested it to be heated. Oh that broth!! Oh so good!”

“I’m sitting in the parking lot of the smart and final wanting to share the kindest experiences I’ve witnessed. There’s a gentleman laying slat on the floor at the front of the entrance and the manager is talking to him. He’s not yelling at him to get him to move, he’s not treating him like an animal shooooing him away. He’s talking to him, listening to him, offering options, encouraging him to contact his family. In a world full of nasty and people acting inhumanly towards their neighbors, here’s an interaction I didn’t think I would ever be able to witness. Thank you to whoever you are, I’m guessing you’re the manager. You’ve got a life long shopper based on your kindness and empathy. Also shout out to the cashier who struck up a great conversation with me.”
