“Botanicalife is located a few steps from the Lark Theatre in downtown Larkspur. The store is filled with interesting books, beautiful housewares, handmade soups, crystals, art, locally crafted jewelry, assortment of bulk teas, unique houseplants and many handcrafted items created by local artist. Visiting the store is a delightful way to spend time and shop for gifts or something special for yourself while spending an afternoon in Larkspur. An added bonus is delightful, complimentary gift wrap.”

“I had driven by Routes Gallery many times and always wondered what it was; today I was waiting for someone shopping next door at United so I decided to check it out. Routes has such a spacious and peaceful outdoor area with an assortment of plants and Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. Step inside and be immersed in more art and culture. There were Tibetan prayer flags, sage, bamboo, crystals, beads, and more. The singing bowls caught my attention. The owner of Routes was at the gallery; he was so friendly and I appreciated that he took time to talk to me and share his knowledge of the different bowls (they had metal and crystal). While I didn't buy anything on this visit to Routes, I enjoyed browsing the gallery and taking in the energy. I'll definitely be back!”

“I've been going to this Christmas store since I was a little girl. We moved to CA in 82 and this quickly became a family tradition. Part of Christmas is getting hot cocoa from Starbucks on the corner and leisurely shipping for new ornaments and sometimes grabbing pizza from old Chicago upstairs. I can't recommend this place enough.”

“I needed some comfy, loose, cotton white pants (with pockets!) and thought of trying to find some at this store. The salesperson was very helpful and friendly. Amazingly, they had exactly what I needed. The pants were very comfortable and a reasonable price, too. Speaking of price, they only accept cash and I was short on the amount of cash I had on hand. The salesperson (actually maybe the owner?) said it was okay, I could bring the rest of the money later; he said he trusted me. Wow. That is not the kind of shopping experience one has every day. Check them out and support a lovely local business!”

“This was such a cute and quaint little store that reminded me of iconic old 1950s or 60s toys and do dad's as well as things from my own childhood. I love how these toys worth made for children to figure out things on their own, such a Montessori style of learning that children nowadays miss out on while using electronics. I really liked all the random stuffed animals placed throughout the store as well. I will definitely be back again!!”

“Boho Bungalow in Petaluma is not only the cutest store, but they also offer an interactive candle making experience that makes for the perfect reason to travel to Petaluma for a girl's day! The store specializes in homemade candles, scents, crystals, earrings, kitchen accessories, mugs, gifty items, you name it. There is an additional wow factor on the left side of the store, a beautiful open space with 2 large tables for candle making. While looking for a fun outing, I googled local candle making classes and came upon this adorable spot. For around $40/pp you can book ahead (they have a select amount of slots per session) for an experience that includes when you arrive: an industrial but adorable apron to wear, a tray set out that has everything you need for the experience, and a note pad/pen. The class is led by awesome women who guide you to pick your vessel, lead you through the scent process (you get to smell scents ranging from sweet to floral to woodsy to fresh), sticker adhesives so you can name your scent, and then are assisted in creating your perfect candle (wax, wick, so on)! To note: if you don't live in the area, you can pay $7 while in the store to have your candle mailed to you within a few days post class. (you don't receive your candle immediately after because it has to set, but if you live closeby, can pick it up the next day). There are also such great eateries and places to tuck into for dessert, tastings, and more nearby, with plenty of street parking and accessibility. “Shop owner Lili was an absolute delight to work with! She made sure my order (birthday for dear friend) was made with the selection of fruits I preferred. I also ordered the mini chocolate cake with strawberry on top. Both were beautiful and my friend said the fruit was fresh, sweet and yummy while the chocolate cake was beyond delicious! I truly think he was surprised the chocolate cake was so rich and yummy and the whip cream top quality. Clearly made with high quality ingredients. I will definitely go back for more beautiful and delicious gifts for family, friends and clients. I am grateful to have such a quality, customer centric local store and happy to support Lili.”
