They have a butcher shop with seafood, red meats, chicken and cheeses; they have produce plus pantry and dried goods; cold drinks, milk, chips, etc. The staff is very friendly; there may be a language barrier. “Had a very pleasant experience shopping here. I was looking for my chocolate covered powerbarries and couldn't find them but I was able to find other items that worked good for substitutes. The bathroom was also very well upkept. Definitely suggest coming here for your healthy food cravings!”

“Our Novato/Ignacio/Hamilton Field Safeway was recently updated with new aisle configuration, landscaping, and team training, which has made our visits something to look forward to. Our Safeway seems to be a model of bringing mentally challenged folk and every level of ethnicity and ages into a welcoming and supportive community. Even the gas station staff seems specially welcoming & helpful. We’ve been grocery shopping since the fifties, back when they used coupons & green stamps to lure the shoppers away from local fruit stands and farms, for fresh milk and eggs. Bread & ice cream trucks drove by the front door, daily, to tempt you with fresh breads, donuts, popsicles and other treats. For us medicine-over-dosed, elders, having a pharmacy available on any shopping day, is also, a deep necessity & privilege!
On a hot day, now, we can drive to Safeway, to enjoy wandering through the chilled, floral, freezer, butcher, or veggie aisles, AND, can get iced drinks at the cheery Starbucks Bar, even on Sunday.”

“My favorite establishment in Novato. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Groceries are more affordable than Safeway, with much more transparent pricing. Their selection of frozen and prepared foods is international, healthy, and delicious. I pretty much live off of Trader Joe’s food.”
