“They went above and beyond!! Fixed my windshield wiper in the pouring rain for free! When there was a backlog of cars. What?! There was a missing part the other shop couldn’t fix properly, and using some wire he was able to keep it on. It’s stayed on in use for over a year now! Also they replaced my brake drums after I drove too long with bad brakes. Very quick and direct about the issue, no fluff. Felt very honest. Thank you!! Your act of kindness in the rain during a hard time in my life will never be forgotten!”

The cheapest quickest and most convenient way to get your propane tanks refilled in East Oakland that I've found. I save a ton of money compared to doing the tank exchange thing at gas stations or hardware stores. Looks like they have new ownership and place has been spruced up a bit, still a great bargain.”

“I started taking my car here about 15 years ago. Now my adult children and even my ex husband all take their cars here because I rave about this place. Toan’s motto is “do good work and don’t cheat people” They’ve more than lived up to that motto. Toan always finds the most cost effective solution, e.g. a rebuilt transmission, and when an old lemon of a car was on it’s last legs, Toan told me not to spend anymore money repairing it. It “died” a month later. We were taking my son’s VW to a “specialist” in VW’s every month to fix the same issue. When we took it to Toan, we never had that issue again”

“I've taken my boss's car here a few times & now take mine too. It can take a little while, but all good car washes do. I'd just do a drive by if you're in a rush and you're already out. Both the interior and exterior cleanings are really thorough. The staff is nice. I like the system they've got going. Very affordable compared to the car washes in the city. There's a nice shady place to sit while you wait and you pay at the pump, which is convieniet. Will continue to come here!”

“This is a gas station on another planet in a galaxy far far away.. don't think you actually get to shop for snacks in person , nooooo at 5pm you are locked out of the food portion inside the station ..you have to point to the snacks you want to buy through a glass window. “Brought my car here out of desperation after my other mechanics retired and closed their shops. Very pleasantly surprised. The mechanic (don't know his name, but there's only one, and he's an owner I believe) was very knowledgeable. He was able to source scarce Honda parts (this was during covid supply chain issues). His prices are *very* reasonable. I will continue to bring my work here. Actually reluctant to post this review in case he gets too much work and can't fit me in.One limitation seems to be that the car needs to be running when you bring it in (no tow-ins).On the fueling side of the business I rate as 4.5 stars. The easy access to air is nice and quite rare in Oakland (in spite of whatever the law requires). Fuel prices are good considering this upscale neighborhood. I would give 5 stars if they had clean soapy water to clean my windshield.”

“I frequent this station regularly mostly due to convenience. For instance it's out of Valero or 7-Eleven. The employees at 7 Eleven are absolutely awful and Valero is 24 hours! I got my car serviced at their adjoining shop, Express Auto Clinic! I came here after wasting my time at Shell on Grand Ave and Don fixed my car and gave me an oil change in no time! Also gave me pointers on the super simple job I came in for so that the next time (hopefully there isn’t one) I can do it myself and save money. He was friendly and funny and gave me a stool to sit on in the sun while I got my service done! 10/10 recommend!”
