Island Market is a long-standing neighborhood store with a great butcher shop inside. The meat is cut to order, fresh, and of better quality than the supermarket, with good prices and package deals. The store is well-stocked with household needs, snacks, and items like homemade sandwiches, hot dogs, and cold cuts. The owners are super friendly. It accepts EBT and debit cards. Some customers note the outside area could be cleaner and that some non-meat items are expensive, but many have been loyal shoppers for over 50 years, valuing the service and quality.
Been going here for years great atmosphere and great service .. the owners are very nice .. also Sam's has one of the best sandwiches I've ever eating and love that he has meat boxes at a set price perfect for parties or bbqs or even if u just want to stock up

Cool convenient hood store for the people. Sam is hilarious & runs a great meat market the sandwiches go crazy I just don’t like how they upped the prices on ‘em over the years

Our family my moved in the area in 1964. Sam the Butcher bagged and delivered groceries to the elderly neighbors on my street. He would walk up Santa Rita and down 41st Av carrying boxes or bags. He's still the same kind person he has always been..He's one of the good ones.
