“Hands down the best sausages you can find. I've been to a LOT of butcher shops and pork stores all around the country and I really believe Taylor's is only surpassed by Michelin restaurants who make their sausages in-house and charge a bundle. The spicy Boudain are my all time fav but they also have a Swedish potato sausage that I'd never heard of before that are out of this world delicious. The Boudain like a bit lower and slower cook, holy cow (pig, I guess) these are SO flavorful and delicious. I ate 8 of them once, might have been too much. They're like a whole meal in a sausage. The Swedish potato ones are best cooked hotter, with a nice crisp on the outside. Very rich flavor and so tender and delicious. Can't rave about this place or these sausages enough. I drive ~1hr with traffic to come here and it is still 100% worth it. Great service too! Very old school vibes, they have been suppling the best restaurants in the east bay for a good min. And as soon as you taste the sausages you know why. Every time my bro comes from Europe we gotta hit Taylor's for the fridge. Check them out!”

“They have so many different types of meats from so many types of animals. It's pretty incredible. From baby octopus to squab, to quail, venison, Bison, chicken, Shrimp, lamb, goat, lobster tail, ox tail and many types of poultry that I've never heard of. Really nicely dressed in butcher's white coat, and I didn't feel rushed. They take courteous time to make sure they've helped you to your satisfaction. I know where to go to get great service and to find unique pieces of meats.”

“First entering the store you're welcomed with good music unlike other produce markets spots in the location. Music definitely had me wanting to just stay there and enjoy it. Following that were the veggies/ fruit, meat and packaged goods organized in their own separate aisles and sections. First time being I there had to do a lap to get accustomed to the layout. After that I was moving throughout the aisles and even going back to already seen aisles just to take another look and what else I could grab. From asking for help and getting some chicken and carnitas the members were very involved and very welcoming. From the meat department to check out, all store members were happy to help out. The welcoming customer service and the comfort of not feeling like an outsider compared to other stores I've been to around Fruitvale. When I'm back in town this will definitely be the store to come to when I'm in need of something quick to eat or ingredients for the week. Will be back.”

“This is the only meat shop I would purchase my meats and hotpot essential. it is very small but don't let that fool you, they have all your needs from thinly sliced meat to bulk size. You just let the butcher know what you want. Their vegetables are always green and leafy, it never disappoints. The best thing, many varieties. There may be a language barrier but if they noticed you have been looking at an item for a while, they just hand you the best looking one. This weekend, I 2 packs of beef brisket and the marble on the beef was gorgeous, along with veggies, tofu and fish cakes. Everything was fresh! Let me just say, it was a delicious feast! It is hotpot season, best to come here for all your hotpot needs!”

“February 23rd, Friday @ 12:30 - 14:00. I arrived early for an appointment in Oakland, California. It had been a long drive from Crescent City, California and I came across this wonderful Halal grocery, bakery and Cafe. My Taxi driver accompanied me that day & I wished to treat her to a nice meal. We were kindly greeted upon entering & had I had the luxury of more time that day I gladly would have done some shopping after we finished our delicious meal. The gentleman caring for the front of the store & the gentleman in the Cafe took great care of us. It was such a delightful honor ? to make their acquaintance. It felt like I was home in Texas eating a beautiful meal prepared with love by family. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place again. Love ✨️ and Blessings be with you All.”

“Please check their website before coming here for directions that how to get here. Don’t follow GPS or Google. Otherwise you will end up with 4 ton restriction streets cuz it’s a residential area. If coming from I-80 then take exit 9 and make right turn on Lowell st. That’s it. They will unload you right exact on street. No docks here for Semi trucks.”
