“In 2020 my cat Erewhon was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. Erewhon's neurologist says its the worst case in epilepsy that he's ever seen in a cat. I've been going to AHS for 4 years now since his diagnosis and would never go to another compounding pharmacy. David and his staff are absolutely amazing at what they do. I have complete confidence with David and his staff to get Erewhon's medicines right every time. I've been sent to pharmacies like Mix Lab before, but I keep coming back to David because of the friendly staff and the good experience I have every time I come. David and his staff go out of their way to earn your trust. Whenever I have questions about the medications, I immediately get answers. A couple of years ago AHS had to close for a couple of weeks due to storm damage to the building. This was problematic for me because Erewhon gets a super high mg/ml dose of keppra. When calling around to other pharmacies, no one else in all of Los Angeles could mix at that mg/ml that David could. Having a cat with epilepsy makes my life stressful 24/7. Knowing that I have someone like David and American Health Solutions Pharmacy in my corner makes the difference in treating my cat's epilepsy. I recommend AHS to everyone I know. Simply the best.”

There’s a lot to love about this neighborhood pharmacy…
And today just pretty much seals the deal- if incredible customer / patient service and compassion along with MUCH more expedient, personal service matters…
THIS IS THE ONLY PHARMACY TO BRING YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS TO.
This is the first time in years I’ve found myself unable to pick up an urgent prescription - and before I knew it, the senior Manager had arranged to add my prescription to an already-existing local delivery order!
So for hardly any additional $$ - within 2 HOURS - I had my Rx … and the realization that Sherri (the owner!) and her entire staff genuinely do care about their clientele and their health and well-being.
On to the other perks:
Almost always friendly staff, helpful, and unlike chain pharmacies, happy to go the extra mile to ensure you get your prescriptions as quickly and as cost efficiently as possible.
I was one of thousands “displaced“ when RITE AID closed last year. Both Ralph’s and CVS did a terrible job, so I pulled my prescription prescriptions from CVS almost within the week, given how overwhelmed their bureaucratic pharmacy and uncaring pharmacists tends to be.
(In fact, one CVS pharmacist lied to me three times about follow up with regards to a specific prescription – mind blowing considering they’re gambling people’s health and life – that’s all in my CVS review!)
Elements has been the complete opposite. It’s personalized, they all remember you, greet you by name (can you imagine that?!), memorize your health chart and prescription needs, and as I already proved, go the extra mile whenever they can.
The only thing that could make this pharmacy, even better would be slightly longer, USER FRIENDLY hours. It’s open just barely enough for somebody who works to make it during the week, and short hours on Saturday.
Of particular note is a pharmacist by the name of Janette, who both today, and a few weeks ago, went completely out of her way to make up for a mistake in timing of prescriptions, even offering to have a particular prescription delivered because I was not feeling well.
The store itself is just beautiful - the modern equivalent of the old west’s General Store… treats, over the counter meds, greeting cards and special gifts - in fact they’ve even got a small private quiet space to get work done if needed while waiting for your prescription to be filled.
