Dr. Vlad helped save Sofi’s life two years ago when she needed emergency surgery for pyometra. Recently, he performed a very extensive dental procedure that included multiple tooth extractions. Throughout the entire process, he was patient, thorough, compassionate, and always took the time to explain everything clearly.

The entire team treated Sofi with kindness and professionalism. We received detailed updates, follow-up calls, and excellent instructions for recovery. Dr. Vlad’s experience and calm approach made a very stressful situation much easier for us.

“My geriatric puppy has stage 2 chronic kidney damage which made me believe that she will not be able to get her teeth fixed. I assumed my fur baby was going to live a painful/uncomfortable life for her remaining life since I as a pharmacist intern understood initiating anesthesia with this disease state is already have lots of challenging risks involved.

Amazingly, the doctors here made it possible to fix her teeth with heavy monitoring. The current veterinarian team < at this location> is superb. Their communication, empathy and understanding is on point. I entrusted my baby with them and she made it through this long day and is now resting at home.

Update: 2026 She made full recovery and is still with us.
She gained back her weight and has been running around.”

“Dr. Steve is the best vet EVER! My adopted dog Ash came with multiple health issues, the most problematic being GI (stomach upset, diarrhea) and hip dysplasia problems from a previous surgery. Ash had issues with diarrhea and vomiting and I could not find a vet who could help. Dr. Steve was able to get the situation under control. After he solved the initial problem, there was another complication. Dr Steve solved that problem too! His staff is efficient, helpful, and fun.”

“After a stressful experience elsewhere, I’m incredibly grateful I found Green Dog Dental. I took my dog in for a dental cleaning at another clinic, where they discovered a foreign body and removed it. They recommended extracting a tooth due to a small hole in his gums, but no X-rays were taken. I didn’t feel comfortable agreeing to an extraction without imaging or a clear explanation of why removing the tooth would help the hole heal. When I asked about suturing the gum instead, I was told I needed to seek a dental specialist. From the start, communication was smooth. I was able to explain my dog’s situation over the phone and get scheduled within a week. I made it very clear that my dog is reactive when strangers touch his mouth. Although I can handle his mouth and have shown his teeth during vet exams, he was attacked a few years ago and needed facial sutures, so he understandably has boundaries. I explained that he would need sedation for a proper dental evaluation.
The only hiccup in the process was that after waiting about 1.5 hours, I was told I needed to muzzle him. Since I had mentioned his reactivity and need for sedation ahead of time, I felt this could have been communicated earlier, as it delayed his appointment. That said, Dr. Scott was amazing. She was thorough, patient, and took the time to explain everything while truly listening to my concerns. They performed dental X-rays which showed bone loss in one molar. As much as I hated the idea of extraction, I felt confident in the decision because they showed me exactly which tooth needed removal, especially after another clinic had recommended extracting a different molar without X-rays.
The front desk staff was kind and patient throughout the process. I had even called other “dental specialists” and obtained quotes (and tentatively scheduled elsewhere in case a root canal was needed), but everything was handled here. Pricing was clear, transparent, and far more reasonable than other places I contacted. Overall I felt heard, respected, and confident in my dog’s care. I would absolutely recommend Green Dog Dental to anyone needing specialized dental care for their pet.”

“My 3 cats have been coming here for years. A few months back my oldest boy needed some serious dental work done and I was very worried about the whole process. It wasn't cheap (surgery for a pet *never* is, that said they're about as low cost as someone can be operating a veterinary business in SM) but I was so happy with the level of care that my cat got, and the continuous communication from the team throughout the day kept me reassured.

“I cannot say enough thank you to Dr. Lim and Animal Wellness Center for the incredible care they provided for our very senior dog, Mook. He was suddenly diagnosed with severe kidney disease, and our previous vet recommended either euthanasia or trying hospitalization at an emergency hospital. However, due to his heart murmur, there was a concern that his heart wouldn’t hold up under the stress of IV fluids. We were looking for a private clinic rather than a big corporate vet, so we decided to visit Animal Wellness Center, which also offers acupuncture.

Dr. Lim suggested a unique approach of daytime-only hospitalization during office hours. While we were worried about Mook’s heart, we trusted Dr. Lim, who took the time to explain everything thoroughly.

Thanks to their incredible care, Mook has recovered well, and now, five months later, he’s still running around happily. We know our time with him may be limited, but we’re so grateful for the extra time we’ve had with him—time that we wouldn’t have had if we had gone the other route. We are truly thankful for the compassionate care we received here.”

“Today was our first visit and I was very impressed by the staff and the doctor. My xolo mix, Fred, has been suffering from dry flaky skin, redness and he was just miserable. While today’s visit wasn’t exactly cheap , I felt like I got my monies worth with testing and a treatment plan. Brought my baby straight to the groomer for a bath with new shampoo and it was night and day when I picked him up. Will repeat this every week until I see the doctor again. Have ordered the food and will follow the plan in hopes we might find what he might be allergic to.
