“We lost our precious 13-year-old girl, Sheena Marie, two weeks ago. Our amazing vet handled her final moments with us, and Hearts & Halos took care of her individual aquamation and ashes from there. We got her back this week and I am completely blown away by the care that went into everything. The handmade biodegradable paper urn with her name on a little wooden heart, the engraved paw print keepsake, the plantable seed paper hearts, and her beautiful certificate. Every single detail was thoughtful and gorgeous. We don't have a yard just yet, but when we do, we'll bury her urn and let her ashes nourish the earth. Her soul is already out in the universe, and someday she'll help grow something beautiful too. For now, she's back in her favorite corner of the house, right where she belongs. “Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. We arrived on time for the appointment and were taken back to the treatment room, but then were not seen, while other pets were seen. When I checked back in with the front desk, they appeared to not know who we were, when our appointment was, or when or if we would be seen. Bad all around.
UPDATE: This issue was promptly--and graciously--resolved with a follow up appointment the following day and free exam. It is refreshing for a veterinary practice to acknowledge and address a concern so quickly and directly. We will be returning.”
“Fortunate to have this vet urgent care in Santa Monica. I was able to walk in Sunday morning when my dog had an ear infection. The staff & vet Dr. Hinchey were kind and caring. Medical treatment was comprehensive and reasonable priced (for the area). I really felt good leaving, knowing that my dog was well taken care of, treatment plan in place with a follow up scheduled.

“I wanted to leave a 5 star review for the melrose vet. They helped my dad get healthy after 3 days of being sick and took the time to take care of him and make sure I was informed. Unlike the pet hospitals, the melrose vet puts the energy into making you feel like you’re apart of the process and you know what’s going on. As a college student they worked wonders for me from an affordability standpoint and I would say to 1000% trust them.

“I can't say enough about the amazing team at BARC. My senior French Bulldog Kirby goes for physical therapy and acupuncture and they have provided top notch care. She recently had an IVDD flare up and bounced right back which I believe is due to the care she has received during preventative PT and accupuncture sessions. It's amazing to see my dog getting bursts of puppy energy due to the program here. Everyone on staff is always so perceptive to the pets' needs as they evolve. “After a stressful experience elsewhere, I’m incredibly grateful I found Green Dog Dental. I took my dog in for a dental cleaning at another clinic, where they discovered a foreign body and removed it. They recommended extracting a tooth due to a small hole in his gums, but no X-rays were taken. I didn’t feel comfortable agreeing to an extraction without imaging or a clear explanation of why removing the tooth would help the hole heal. When I asked about suturing the gum instead, I was told I needed to seek a dental specialist. From the start, communication was smooth. I was able to explain my dog’s situation over the phone and get scheduled within a week. I made it very clear that my dog is reactive when strangers touch his mouth. Although I can handle his mouth and have shown his teeth during vet exams, he was attacked a few years ago and needed facial sutures, so he understandably has boundaries. I explained that he would need sedation for a proper dental evaluation.
The only hiccup in the process was that after waiting about 1.5 hours, I was told I needed to muzzle him. Since I had mentioned his reactivity and need for sedation ahead of time, I felt this could have been communicated earlier, as it delayed his appointment. That said, Dr. Scott was amazing. She was thorough, patient, and took the time to explain everything while truly listening to my concerns. They performed dental X-rays which showed bone loss in one molar. As much as I hated the idea of extraction, I felt confident in the decision because they showed me exactly which tooth needed removal, especially after another clinic had recommended extracting a different molar without X-rays.
The front desk staff was kind and patient throughout the process. I had even called other “dental specialists” and obtained quotes (and tentatively scheduled elsewhere in case a root canal was needed), but everything was handled here. Pricing was clear, transparent, and far more reasonable than other places I contacted. Overall I felt heard, respected, and confident in my dog’s care. I would absolutely recommend Green Dog Dental to anyone needing specialized dental care for their pet.”
