“The branch may be temporarily closed, but the ATM is full of cash and working! In Piedmont, a typical household earns over $207,222. Good to know the bank still can service the ATM for the community in dire times!FYI, the daily limit for cash withdrawals is $1000.”

“What a breath of fresh air. Personal service with a bank manager who greets you and shakes your hand. I had to transfer a safe deposit box from El Cerrito which was downsizing. Piedmont was great. The teller and the manager helped us and personally guided us to the new box. I had documents and valuables and was a bit apprehensive. There were NO ISSUES. We completed the paperwork and got our keys. We set up the automatic deduction from my account. Easy-Peasy. Thank you so much. Back-in-the day, we talked about my Girls Scout cookies and the tellers were very interested. It is a community bank. Do not let the Nay-Sayers deter you. I do miss the Saturday hours that were reduced during COVID. Still a friend place and personalized service. Who does that these days!!??”

“Did you know that Citibank does free notary if you have an account with them? I recently experienced exceptional customer service at Citibank's Fruitvale branch in Oakland. Maria Martinez is the manager and she and her staff are very professional and courteous. This location is at the Fruitvale BART transit center. Se hable Español.”

“Well, I am not sure why so many people are bent out of shape with their negative reviews...I had a perfectly pleasant exchange with the teller who helped me. My ATM card got hacked, and I needed some cash, hence the ACTUAL human interaction! I didn't get her name, but she was courteous and sympathetic to my situation. One day, I'm sure most folks like myself, will have to accept the digital era. Face to face interactions with other humans will possibly be less frequent...but until that day? I will gladly exchange a smile and a quick hello with my fellow non-bots.Thank you me Lady...you brightened up an already sunny day, hopefully yours is a little brighter as well. Aaaand I have analog paper money in my pocket!Peace.”

“Wells Fargo itself can be iffy and banks can be a very stressful place at times however this branch is wonderful (and WAY more helpful than the Otis branch in my opinion). I came in needing to stop payment on some cashiers checks. I had so much anxiety regarding whether I'd be able to do so and if I'd be able to get my money back In a timely fashion. Kieth and Arthur were beyond helpful and I cannot express my gratitude enough. The process was long we had to call the customer service line, fill out and notarize paperwork, yada yada yada but they did not complain about helping me one bit they just powered through it with a good attitude and got it done for me. They were able to stop payment for me and gave me the money back right away. After being so stressed out going into the bank I left with no burdens and had peace of mind about everything. Again thank you Keith and Arthur so much you guys really turned a horrible situation around for me, you two are awesome.”

“I am not a customer of Citibank but had a check from a Citibank customer from another branch. The help from the staff in cashing the check I brought in was comfortable and friendly. Required some additional ID and approval from the branch manager. All in all, the lack of waiting time, the helpful staff and perhaps most of all the excellent customer parking made this a excellent bank experience. The Laurel District is notorious for difficult parking. Good example is the Bank of America across the street. Very difficult to find a spot, or the need to feed the meter when trying to use that branch. Very nice that the busy Laurel District has two full service bank locations.”

“Great associates. People in line get mad a lot! I've seen clients yell at associates for d*** reasons. The only reason I wouldn't return would be based off how I see some of the entitled feeling clients treat the workers like they're not human beings.”

“Great service and location. Great staff and I like the self service safety deposit box option. They're friendly, flexible, and fantastic at this location. The branch manager used to be Inga but she left and now it's Cindy and she's great. Sheila is also great for accounts and other service. Support them and open some accounts!”

“The bankers here are very professional helpful and thorough. The building is a historic landmark the former HQ for Wells Fargo and the branch is architecturally intact and preserved. Also this is the only one of the big banks that the phones are still answered at the branch level. Aysha was very helpful”

“There are always washers available when I come to this location, they are fast & efficient. I’ve never had any of my clothes smell bad from a dirty washer or anything. 10/10. Decent prices, always triple the time in the dryer at a laundromat or your clothes WILL BE WET. I learned that the difficult way!”

“This is going to be a touching review. Long story short, I'm trans male, transitioned in my 30s, moved to SoCal to do so and decided to come back home a few weeks ago to the more accepting and less polluted Bay. I'd closed my Citibank account four years ago due to both lack of locations in SoCal, and my ex-wife having my account information and seeing debits from her two months after I left her and the area, which is no fault of Citibank's (the location problem out there is, though) Anyway, Bank of the West is very convenient out there, but INTENSELY inconvenient out here. Staff had always been nice to me at this location, to the point they entertained my attempts to acquire Cantonese as my fifth language. I'm mixed and 'vaguely ethnic" looking, to steal phrasing from The Colbert Report, and with that as well, and my Japanese name, as there aren't many people with Japanese full names in Oakland (just last names, and thank internment for everything related to lack of Japanese-speaking community in Oakland) I was memorable. I knew they'd remember me, even if I don't look anything like I did before. And honestly, I was a bit unsure of how it would go. Traditionally, China had more than two genders, but in the mainland, Mao was very homophobic, and Hong Kong was ruled by Britain, the colonies being the inventors of queerphobia. So it can vary, just like with, say, white Americans. My legal name is yet unchanged, and I don't want to pretend to be a stranger if I can help it anyway. When I told the head of the bank who I was, he said "wow! You look different!" WITH A SMILE. I said that I feel better now. He was glad to have me back, and decided to chat with me while I waited for the person who would help me open an account. We talked about Chinatowns throughout CA and other small-talk things. The woman who opened my account was respectful of my new name, and everyone was just so accepting. I mean, it's as it should be, but it's just not often that way for people subject to so much oppression and alienation. I definitely made the right decision, and am glad to be back with Citibank Chinatown. P.S., the security guard was surprised when I told him the phone store next door used to be a treasure trove of a video store. Still sad about that.”

“While setting up my "Complete" business checking and savings account, as well as business credit and debit cards. I had excellent service, precise, helpful, and efficient from Ms. Minu Shreshtha. I highly recommend her. I also feel safe using the ATM inside and have had nothing but polite, helpful service from everyone else at this bank. After searching around for quite a while for the best bank for a business account and cards, it was refreshing that the biggest bank around is so appropriate. For personal accounts, I'm very satisfied with my local credit union.”

“I was skeptical to come at first regarding the mid-rating; nonetheless, I’m glad I came!It was my first time there, and the employers were very nice and explained their services to me according to my needs. It was a little pricier than expected, but it was worth it as they were respectful and gentle towards my car! I would definitely recommend and come again!”

“I just went in on some light banking questions and the teller came right up to the window immediately and asked me to come over. He was followed by the manager who introduced herself which I thought was very cool. I mentioned to them that I was at a branch in the next town. But this one's more convenient to my house and was told that. I'm very welcome to do business with him at any time I'd like. I like customer service like this. It's nice to see some place that I can walk into and feel like a valued customer. And don't misunderstand me the people at the bank that I'm currently at are just as nights. This one just happens to be closer to my house. They will definitely see my business again.”
