“Always good food and experiences at Orlando's Market in Pine Grove. Mountain towns, much like river towns, can be expensive--shipping/fuel is prohibitive--but they manage to keep their prices reasonable. Their selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, beverages (of many kinds), breads, and more are outstanding. Both their premade and just-made sandwiches are fresh and tasty, great salads, and their cooked foods are yummy, too. We had stopped into the local 'dollar' store for ice just before we went to Orlando's, but I refused to pay over $6 for a seven-pound bag. Orlando's sold the same for over a dollar less. And their deviled eggs were good, too. Stop at the big Pine Grove Market sign, on 88 just about kitty-corner from Ridge Road. You won't regret it. We never have.”

“This is a gas station with a nice little convenience store. The store has the usual snacks & candy plus some more substantial food like frozen pizzas and cold sandwiches. The regular selection of sodas, water gatorades, etc. is decent as are the selections of liquor & beer. Stage Stop (what locals call Frontier Station) is open until 10 pm (which is later than most places here in UpCountry). Staff is friendly & I've always had positive experiences visiting here!”

“Excellent experience at the Chevron. The station was very clean, well maintained, and had plenty of pumps available which made getting in and out quick and convenient. The entire property was organized and easy to access, and everything at the pumps worked smoothly. It’s a reliable stop for quality fuel in the area, especially when traveling through town. Definitely one of the better kept gas stations around and I’d gladly stop here again.”
“On November 5, 2021 I drove 3.5 hours from Bay Area to Pioneer to stay on our vacation home. Around 8:45pm my car started to light up oil check lights by Ion. I know that the closest auto parts are 10 minutes away and couldn’t make it. I stop by at Shell and 2 chevron but with no luck they don’t have the engine oil 0W-20 that I needed. My last stop is Valero in Pine Grove around 9:15pm and Britney is scheduled to work that night. I asked her what isle is the engine oil and she pointed out. Sure enough I yelled out loud “they have it” I bought 3 of this oil and paid for it. Britney even gave me disposable paper funnel. Valero save my night and drove home safely. I know I could have drove home without putting oil but the fact is if you don’t have too sacrificed safety and I don’t want to drive back to Martell to buy it in Oreily or Napa or Auto Zone. I just want to say thank you to Valero that they carry more oil than bigger competition. Thank you Arnold”
“A great find on my way up 88! This is a nice gas station with nice people working there! Great home made chocolate chip cookies and other good things to eat. Clean bathrooms and a good layout with room to park and turn around. Thought they deserved a good review so more people knew about them.”
“It was a really smooth stop. Didn’t have to wait long for a pump and everything worked right away, no issues with the card reader or anything. The area around the pumps was clean and felt taken care of, not run down like some other spots. Easy to pull in and out too, which makes a difference when you’re just trying to get gas and go. Nothing fancy, just a reliable gas station that does exactly what you need. Would definitely stop here again.”
