“First I love everything about this location. It’s huge and with wide aisles, this made for an amazing experience for me. Only downside would be the parking lot. Needs to be bigger. Catherine was amazing and listened to all the positive feedback to here about this location!!!”

“I had to hunt OT's BBQ Sauce down when Fair Deal Meat Market in Oakland, CA closed. OT's office is in Pittsburg however, you can purchase from Parkside Market in Pittsburg.”

If you have cash aid they will not ask you and just press cash instead of food when buying from the meat market or grocery. SAY SNAP, they or they will automatically Charge your Cash benefits. “I recently visited the Healthy Families Market store in my area and had a very positive experience. From the moment I walked in, the space felt clean, organized, and welcoming. The aisles were clearly labeled, and it was easy to find WIC-approved items without feeling overwhelmed or confused.
The staff were the best part of my visit. They were patient, respectful, and never made me feel rushed or embarrassed about using WIC benefits. One employee even took the time to walk me through which brands and sizes were covered, and helped me compare options so I could get the most value for my benefits.
The store offers a good variety of items that fit within the WIC program—milk, eggs, cereal, baby formula, fruits and vegetables, and whole grains. I especially appreciated that they carried different brands and sizes, so I wasn’t stuck with just one option. The produce looked fresh, and the shelves were well-stocked.
Checking out was straightforward. The cashier seemed very familiar with the WIC system, which made the transaction smooth and stress-free. There were no awkward moments or confusion about what was or wasn’t covered.
Overall, this WIC store really understands the needs of families. They make it easier to use WIC benefits in a respectful, dignified way. I would definitely recommend this store to other WIC participants who are looking for a supportive place to shop for their family’s essentials.”
