“First time visited. The staff were very friendly and helped me to identify the locations of the items I wanted. The staff ensure that there shouldn't be more waiting time at the cash counter.Based on the customers on the que the staff operate the no of cash counters which is an added advantage to reduce to billing. time.”
“Love how organized and clean the store is. And there's a variety of items available both on the shelves and in the deli, produce, and meat section.
The employees are more often than not courteous, helpfu,l and prompt at service. The clerks are also. If there's ever a problem, it is addressed promptly.
I love the choices at the salad bar. And There's even sushi available but the deli.
Thanks to all.”
“Everyone was super helpful at the meat department. They have an amazing produce selection, not sure who could beat it! Store is always clean and staff are ALL helpful.”
“Adirai mess : If you are craving for typical south indian non veg food at reasonable cost this is the right spot... Flavourful Biriyani, parottas, chicken kothu, chicken gravy are must try on the list. Fresh hot flaky parottas will definitely satisfy your inner child who wants to visit India for food. If you want to see the live parotta making counter u can visit early around 5:30 pm and have a glimpse.”
“I have been shopping at this store and Pleasanton Safeway for years and years. I drive over from Fremont. Raley's Pleasanton and Safeway have both gone off the rails when it comes to price. They are the two most expensive grocery stores in the city. The last 6 months at each of these stores, I have noticed fewer and fewer shoppers. The aisles are unburdened--why? Because of the cost. I am sad to say that even though I can actually afford their prices, I refuse to pay them. Done with both!”
“As usual, the Diner was immaculate as we walked in. We were seated immediately as it wasn't that busy. We knew the waiter as he's served us many times before. His nickname is " Ino." He's just a very nice young man. He made us fresh coffee as we decided what we wanted. I had a double cheese burger and fries with coffee. My wife had a tasty salad and the turkey dinner. We received our meal blazing hot. My burger was wrapped in parchment paper, which made it very easy to eat. It was perfectly cooked. My fries were fine. My wife's turkey and gravy was very good as I had to sample it.The service was great. Ino was as nice as he always is. The food was very tasty. We left a big tip as always since it was earned. This is a very well run black bear diner. I highly recommend it.”
“Convenience/liquor store in an old strip mall. Nothing special about it, other than it's interesting history. On their signage, the word "Market" is set in what looks like a football shape, complete with laces. After doing some research, I discovered that this store was originally called "McElhenny Markets", and was owned by NFL player Hugh McElhenny, who played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1952-1960. The ownership has changed, but the football logo remains, all these years later. Just a little Pleasanton history/trivia for you! I've picked up a soda, snack or six pack here on occasion. Decent selection and service.”
“A True Gem in Pleasanton!
I’ve been shopping at Banu International Market in Pleasanton for the past few years, and it’s truly one of my favorite places. The customer service is exceptional—this amazing family-run business makes every visit special. The moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with a warm smile and called by name. It’s like talking to your favorite family member every time you’re there.
Not only do they have everything I’m looking for, but I always discover something new and delightful. The personal care, friendly atmosphere, and quality products make this market a true treasure in our community. Highly recommend!”
“Shout out to the guys who do the pickup orders and run groceries out to the car. They are very friendly, prompt, and do a solid job selecting the grocery items.”
“Last year I when to Hidalgo, Mexico and tried for the first time Pulque I was sad because I never seen it again until I came by this little market that is own by a kind and polite Mexican family from Hidalgo talking to the owner, yes the owner runs his business idea comment about my experience and I am planing to come back to Hidalgo to get Pulque and visit friend , he walked me to the back of the store and showed me that he sell Pulque !!!!!!!!!! I bought all the bottles what a small world. Highly recommend it for everyone come check it out and get to know Hidalgo's warm heart . I will be coming back and the drive from Lathrop is not bad to get there :)”
“Great selection of fresh, handpicked vegetables, definitely a standout compared to other local grocery stores, even if a bit on the pricier side.
Tried the Handvo from their assortment table, and it was genuinely excellent—flavorful and well-made. However, the Aam Ras was YUCK. Total letdown: thin, watery, and lacking the taste.
Overall, this remains one of our go-to stores for groceries, especially fresh produce. That said, we’d recommend caution with some of the perishable pre-packaged items—quality can be hit-or-miss.”
“Close to home, clean, not too busy, large parking lot, open late.
You can also get organic goods from there at a lower cost than other stores (if you are into organic goods)”

“This review is for my experience at the bakery. First off, yes i admit I love Safeway birthday cake lol. It's a nostalgic thing for my family and we get it for at least 1-2 birthdays a year. It used be a simple task ordering a cake from my local Fremont Safeway but now they're ALWAYS fully booked and in general have a super rude/bad attitude and declining quality in their cakes. This location is somewhat near my work and I ordered from here once since Fremont was fully booked and the folks at the bakery department went out of their way to make a special design for my sisters birthday and it tasted SO good! Even my family members who aren't into safeway cakes loved the cake and were shocked it was from Safeway. Though it's a bit out of the way for me, I always order from here now and appreciate the quality and service for special days!”

“Tends to be a little more crowded than other Safeways. Assortment isn't as broad either. However, produce is very good, meats and fish are high quality, and their coupon special deals are worth the trip.”
“visited the store on Friday and had a wonderful shopping experience at Indian Cash & Carry. The cashier, Sahil, was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist me. His kindness, patience, and positive attitude truly stood out. Because of his support and welcoming nature, I felt encouraged to complete all my shopping at Indian Cash & Carry.
Great work, Sahil! I am very grateful for such excellent customer service.”
“There were no produce. Have been to enough Walmarts in my life and expect same kind of stuff every time. I would have gone to Trader Joe’s instead. There were no banana and fruit’s. I assumed that it’s exactly same like other 1000 Walmarts I have been to :(”
“Great store, lots of variety but a little pricey. Best days to shop for sales are Friday’s?Some people abuse this store by stealing all the time. As a customer it sucks to see it happen right in front of you. Probably the same disrespectful people that are dumping their garbage right behind the store and trashing the redwoods ?”
“Always a pleasant shopping experience at this Trader Joe’s.
All the employees are very nice and willing to assist if you need help. Store is clean and usually well stocked unless they run out items. Overall a nice store to shop.”
