Murphy's Paw
410 Main St, PleasantonI highly recommend Murphy's Paw! We only buy our dog food here. Caro is amazing- she has helped me find raw food that is allergen-free for our goldendoodle who has multiple allergies. When her food was backordered, Caro helped me find alternatives which was a huge timesaver for me! She even checked with a large chain store to see if they had it in stock. They did and I bought a bag there, but when I opened the package it had severe freezer-burn and I had to return it. I never had that issue with frozen food from Murphy's Paw- probably because she orders it often, being a small business, and it is fresher. I won't go to a large chain store again.
We love that buying from Murphy's Paw means supporting a local small business. I would rather put money into a local business, which ultimately stays in our community, than a large corporation.
Also whenever we need a pet gift, it is the best place to go- it has so many unique toys, healthy treats, and gadgets!

Pretty in Fluff
1552 E Gate Way #228, PleasantonShe is very kind and professional. Probably your best bet in pleasanton area. We have tried them all. She does have you drop off your baby which causes anxiety (in me) but she texted me updates of reassurance without me asking. Plus she gave our pup a rainbow Mohawk as last minute request. It was so friggin cute! Got so many compliments. Ashley is not pressed for time which also means she's not rushed and this is key. Other groomers have multiple animals at the same time and are in a hurry. Mistakes can mean injury. Our baby is shy & scared like 90% of the time. When ashley brought her out to us, she was totally comfortable in her arms. Like they had really bonded. I wrote a negative review previously but I was completely wrong and I'm sorry.

Amador Pet Hospital
243 Main St C, PleasantonHands down the BEST vet in the Bay Area. I moved an hour away and still make the drive to see Dr. Chan and Nicole because no vets compare to the quality care they provide. They’ve seen my German Shepherd mix since she was 10 weeks old. She is now 4.5 years old. They performed her spay surgery, they do her vaccinations, and they successfully address every medical issue we’ve experienced outside of routine visits. I’ve tried finding a vet closer to my new home, but every single one lacks transparency and tries to upsell services we don’t need. Amador Pet Hospital is an honest, no-nonsense vet that consistently provides high-quality care at a reasonable cost. They keep my beloved girl healthy and thriving. I refuse to go anywhere else.

Tri-Valley Mobile Veterinary Service
1989 Santa Rita Rd, PleasantonWe absolutely love Dr J..and so do our pups..she is so kind and gentle with them and they love her treats..her assistants treat our fur babies just like their own too..I have read a couple reviews on here that I believe are complete nonsense and fabricated...it is a shame you can say anything you want with no accountability on this app..I cannot recommend Dr J enough..especially if your pet hates the vet and has instant anxiety...I have been to many different vets in livermore and the tri valley area and she is the best:)

Pet Sitting & Training

Furry Friends Pet Sitting
4382 Addison Way, PleasantonI first met Monika in the late 1990s when I had a diabetic dog and a cat. She knew what to do with the diabetes, and the dog just loved her.
Monika always was there for us when we needed her. Monika took care of our animals till we moved out of her service area. When my favorite dog had a stroke she was at the emergency room with me, and we cried together when the dog passed.
If I lived in her service area, I would absolutely have her take care of my animals no matter what. She is dependable and works very hard to ensure the animals get the care they deserve. She doesn’t take every job to ensure that she doesn’t short-change a pet owner.

Dog Soul
39 California Ave STE 301, PleasantonI love working with Susi here!! My dog and I didn’t have too many problems but the issues we were having I was losing hope and confidence in my abilities. One session with Susi here just talking and getting a feel for my dogs reactivity, she validated my hard work and gave me tools and confidence back to keep working. Walks are now back to feeling productive yet relaxing, and we couldn’t be happier!!

Dodgers Paws
39 California Ave Suites #105, #305 & #307, PleasantonMy husband and I had a fantastic experience with Dodger’s Paws! Our trainer, Stacy, is knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about helping both our dog and us succeed.
Our dog has had an exponential growth in her learned commands and our relationship with each other has deepened. Our dog really responded to the structured games, positive reinforcement models, and relationship centered training in a supportive environment.
If you’re looking for knowledgeable, compassionate, and results-driven trainers, I highly recommend Dodger’s Paws. Working with Stacy has made a huge difference for us and our dog - it is worth it!

This really has been the best experience I’ve had with boarding. At daycare I feel like they really like my dog and he, the dog, is pretty stranger shy. I highly refined them.

Meadowlark Dairy
57 W, Neal St, PleasantonMeadowlark Dairy is one of those places that feels like a core Pleasanton memory ?
The old-school drive-thru vibe, quick service, and classic soft serve make it a must-visit every time we’re downtown. The seasonal swirl flavors are always fun to try, and even when the line looks long, it moves surprisingly fast.
Simple, nostalgic, affordable, and consistently good — glad places like this still exist.

Le Palais Sucré
600 Main St STE F, PleasantonA Fantastic Family Brunch Spot in Downtown Pleasanton!
Tucked away on a charming side street just off Main Street, Le Palais Sucré is an absolute gem. We stopped by around noon on a Saturday and were thrilled to be seated immediately—which is a massive win for a weekend! Despite getting a table right away, the place had a great energy and was filled with people enjoying their brunch. They have plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating to choose from.
The food and drinks completely delivered:
* The Chocolate Bonus: My son ordered this, and it was a showstopper. A chocolate crêpe packed with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella, then topped with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. This was hands-down one of the best crêpes we have ever tasted—absolutely heavenly!
* Chorizo Omelette: My wife and I shared this, and it was divine. It was served perfectly warm, cheesy, and loaded with spicy pork chorizo, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese.
* Mushroom Galette: Our second shared item was a savory buckwheat crêpe filled with mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms, and red onions, all topped with a gorgeous sunny-side-up egg. Another really good, flavorful dish.
* Ham & Eggs: Ordered by my daughter, this came with a side of home potatoes and garlic toast. It was a solid, decent option that rounded out the table well.
The Drinks & Service
We ordered a Vanilla Latte and a Caramel Latte. Both arrived extra hot and featured some beautiful art on the foam. The vanilla latte in particular was exceptional—honestly one of the best we’ve ever had.
To top off a wonderful meal, our waitress, Jocelyn, was incredibly nice and attentive throughout our visit.
I definitely recommend Le Palais Sucré if you're looking for a fantastic spot for a family brunch or lunch. We will absolutely be back!

Tri Valley Bistro
519 Main St, PleasantonI wasn't planning on eating here. I was driving down Main Street looking for lunch when Tri-Valley Bistro caught my eye. A convenient parking spot sealed the deal, so I figured, why not?
The greeting was a little awkward when we were asked if we had a reservation for lunch, but things quickly turned around. I ordered the salmon sandwich, and it completely stole the show.
This is easily one of the better salmon sandwich I've had. The salmon was perfectly cooked, the toppings were fresh and balanced, and the house-baked bread was the real secret weapon: crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. One bite in, and any awkward first impressions were forgotten. I'll definitely be back.
