Pet Grooming

Alamo Pet Grooming
3176 Danville Blvd, AlamoVenessa & team at Alamo Pet Grooming (aka Venessa's Pet Spa) is the best of the best. I have been bringing my dogs here for 17 years. From my old grouchy Labradoodle (who is in dog park heaven now) to my temperamental rescue Maltipoo, and my sweet goof-ball Goldendoodle, Venessa does a fantastic job. I know my fur-babies are in great hands.

Alamo Pet Care Hospital
3217 Danville Blvd, AlamoShe's an excellent vet. I swear by her. She has decades of experience and it shows.
Once I brought one of my old cats to the vet due to an emergency. He had stopped eating and was hiding; he was barely there. She took him in. Turns out my cat was dealing with liver failure. Had I waited 24 hours, he would have been dead. She immediately began hydration IVs and other treatment. Due to her extensive knowledge, she was able to recognize that he was dealing with a major infection, leptospirosis (rare in cats but it happens), which targets the liver. She correctly treated him with antibiotics when most other vets would have assumed that it was rat poison. After two days at the vet, my orange boy was back home, alive!
So I trust this vet with any difficult pet affairs, especially when it comes to cats. She's deeply knowledgeable and I can't recommend her enough.

Deborah Knibb, D.V.M.
3217 Danville Blvd, AlamoI took my dog to 5 different Vets for an ear infection and none of them could fix the problem. Went to Sexton 3 times and he couldn't fix it, actually got worse. I called because it was so bad and he told me she's going to have to wait til next week because she was uncooperative, what an anus! Went to the vet if front of Sexton 5 times for just a temporary fix. Thought I would try the Vet across from my shop, BINGO! She fixed it the first time! My daughter took her dog there with a runny eye and he was better in 2 days. I'm glad there is somebody around here that knows what they are doing. And BTW, I started out at Bishop Ranch about 5 times b4 I went elswhere. I think they temporarily fix it so you keep coming back and paying 2 to 300$.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Lever Coffee
37 Alamo Square Dr, AlamoYou couldn't find a better coffee shop - the baristas are so kind, helpful and friendly. The coffee is the best we ever had and latte drinks perfect, rich, and soothing. Every bite of baked goods is delicious - the best chocolate croissant ever (including Paris) The avocado toast made with focaccia bread is so delicious - Lever is a little piece of heaven in a crazy world. Love the ambiance too. Parking can be difficult, but you can always park at Safeway shopping center and easily walk across the street! It truly is such a treat in our day.

Extreme Pizza
3227 Danville Blvd, AlamoWhoever I spoke to over the phone 6/14/25 around 7pm was amazing. We were staying at a hotel outside of their delivery area and wanted something that off the current menu. She was very accommodating. I did have to order off DoorDash due to the proximity and ended up picking pick up instead of delivery.. that was my mistake. But all employees were great! Food was great too!
