“This location is much better than Escondido at this point and I've been coming here despite it being out of the way for me. Unlike Escondido this location carries hard liquor and has a much better selection in general. It never seems to get busy at this location in my experience and staff have always been helpful and kind. Some great deals to be had here, I wouldn't shop anywhere else unless I'm looking for a specific item I know Grocery Outlet doesn't have. No self checkout here, feel like I need to deduct a star for any grocery store that doesn't have it at this point.”

“What a find! I'm new to San Diego, and had never seen Old Poway; ended up going out of my way, by a lot, to pick up a very hard-to-find beverage, which had shown up on this store's website. Alex, at the front desk, was wonderful, and certainly knows his products; kudos to him! I'll definitely make this trip again, whenever I need more of that amazing Bunderberg Root Beer!!”
“Good prices, can buy in bulk or smaller quantities. Much less hassle than Costco, no lines, often better prices too, and they don't play games to manipulate customers. Excellent customer service at S&F too. We buy most of our groceries here.”
“Went back here so my dad could return an Amazon package and pick up some food from here while we were at it. To my surprise, the restrooms were in much better shape than last time, so good job on the maintenance team for straightening them out. We also gave the Dash cart a try, and while it wasn't perfect, it worked pretty well. The food I got from here wasn't anything crazy but it tasted pretty good regardless.
Edit: They recently installed Jetwell hand dryers in the restrooms here, and are no longer stocking towels.
Overall, it looks like I judged this place a little too harshly on my first visit, and it's actually not too shabby.”
“Food is good quality although the koubideh kabab is now dry. At first opening years ago, it was juicy and not dry but now it is. The prices have rocketed to such that I don't go often at all anymore sadly. Even the mast o moussir is too expensive. I used to take out the family plate for 47$ at that time, that was enormous in salad, rice, koubideh, barg, chicken we could all eat decently. Now it's close to 70$ and quantities have shrewd down. Do I never take it anymore. But I always appreciate the place, the tea is delicious and I like the ambiance casual. I take a bowl of a (ache) now it's in my budget and I seat and watch.”
“I’ve had 3 custom cakes made at the Poway Walmart Bakery. The bakery ladies are awesome and are super helpful. The “boy bye” was definitely my favorite. The piping was super crisp. The other two cakes, I felt like the piping around the borders and writing wasn’t as neat. But you can’t beat the price. I love making a strawberry compote and syrup to accompany the cake.
Back again with another cake order. This time it was for my friend’s baby shower. Cake came out super cute!”
“I'm from out of town and Poway is the best Walmart I have seen away from my own town. Needed some items quickly for our daughter's wedding. I was able to find everything I needed. Better because they still have fabric and sewing supplies. When #1600 was remodeled they did away with most the fabric and sewing section.”
