“They are the real deal helpful honest group of people!!!! They gave me a free diagnostic on my old bike which included a free easy fix which they did 100% free of charge!
We had an honest conversation about my bike and they didn’t try to upsell me but understand where I was at. They gave me an opportunity to fix more that was also reasonably priced but didn’t push it on me. When I picked up my bike, they took the time to put my bike up on display to show me the quick fix to make gear changing issue so I can do it myself in future. This is when I saw a new cap on some fibers that was hurting my leg and Alex said, “Oh yeah, figured that would be helpful to fix”. (He forgot to mention he did that extra effort) Then Alex remember something else that would be good to calibrate and got a tool and did some geometric altering to make sure I’d be in good shape. This was 100% free of charge honest helpful diagnostic service that went above and beyond. It warmed my heart to know that there are companies who put human connection, integrity, and service above making a dollar. I would 100% back them as a bike company and when I’m ready for a new bike, I’m going here! Thank the gods for a small bike company that we can trust! Let’s invest in them!”
“Thank you for helping me with finding the right bike for me. All the workers of the San Francisco stores in 2 locations were very helpful and knowledgable. I always felt welcomed to the store and during the test-rides (even in not ideal weather conditions). Thanks to all the crew.”
“The Peddler has no peers when it comes to quick repairs at a reasonable price with no appointments. That's service. The staff is professional and courteous. That's service”
“Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Carries a large inventory and answered all of my questions. Great customer service and fixed my bike without an appointment even though they were very busy.”
“New Wheel was great, went to get my e-bike repaired. Customer service was stellar - shout out to Kansas. Cost of the repairs was affordable and efficient. Will definitely go back.”
“First these guys sold me a phenomenal bike at a darn good price with great service. Then they went out of their way to help me.
These folks love bikes and give great service. Wish there were more bike shops like this!”
“My go-to bike shop where I bought my son's and FIRST bike. The staff is terrific, knowledgeable, kind, and caring. I continue to get service from them as they are Beyond five stars! Love Tip Top Bike Shop.”
“Gr8 shop! They have a great stock of all the hard to find bike parts/components along with an amazing selection of bikes and e-bikes. The staff love bikes and it’s fun to learn and talk about old bike history with them. My go to bike shop. Coffee next door is good, too.”
“Jonas and Brian are the best! Very chill guys. It made the browsing and buying experience stress-free. They encouraged us to take time and try all the different models before making the decision, which made us confident that we went to the right place to get a new bike! Best Brompton bike dealer! Go to them for all your Brompton and bike needs :) The other people in the shop are always nice as well. We’ll be coming back!”
“Sickest bikes and shop I’ve ever seen. Super friendly service- not that apssive aggresiveness youre used to at every SF shop. Vibes are immaculate, cutest dogs and they got me back riding in 3 minutes all for free. 10/10 will be back”
“This was the first bicycle shop I visited when I first moved to Oakland back in 2014. Charlie was always helpful and a life saver during times in need. I'm not really in the area to go here anymore, but your bicycle can and will be serviced!”
“Had to take my Ebike here since my regular mechanic is out of town but WOW! Outstanding service and great prices. I had an accident and needed a quick emergency repair. They handled it in less than 12 hours and the mechanic was very professional and kind. Really excellent shop I highly recommend!”
“Great shop! It’s welcoming, reasonably priced and I get great advice from the staff. They fixed my flat and adjusted my brakes. I have had a few experiences elsewhere with shops refusing to work on my e-bike, so great to know I have a solid option right on my way. I’m a fan.”
“I've lived in Berkeley for years and have purchased several bikes from Mike's Bikes and gone in there for service help many times. I used to think that the service department was terrible. The service people were unhelpful, everything took too long and cost too much. It was to the point that I started going elsewhere for service for a few years.
Just over the last few months I've had some issues with new parts on my bike (that I installed myself) and I've gone into Mike's Bikes for help. My recent experiences have been completely different, the services staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Great bike mechanics with great, friendly and helpful attitudes. I would now recommend service from Mike's Bike's to anyone.”
“I definitely recommend this place! Scott is the man! I brought my bike to get the rear brake pads replaced. I rolled up right after he opened up and he had me chill in front for about 5mins then came out with tools in hand, even showed and explained to me how to replace my pads for next time. It literally took him about 3mins! On top of that he refused payment, because he's just that type of guy. He would rather educate and help someone out than charge an arm and a leg like most other places tried to do. Even gifted me a free shirt! Sheesh! The service and my experience was second to none! I will definitely be going back when my bike needs some more work. I hope everyone reads this review bc this place is awesome! Thanks Scott!! O by the way those one star reviews were 100% Karen's with a thumb up their u know what!! Haters always gona hate.. Lmao!”
“Best bike shop in Berkeley!! (FACTS). I love my bike and the proprietor, Dave, went above and beyond with helping me to find the best Giant *LIV* suited for me.....Great customer service, and great bikes!NamaStoked!??✌?”
“Lulu's is an amazing neighborhood bike store. I came into Lulu's with a flat tire and when they didn't have a tube in my size they let me use a patch kit and thier tools to fix it. I tried to pay but they just said, "remember us when your friends or kid needs a bike". That's the kind of customer service that should save the brick and mortar stores. They won't have your carbon race bikes or BBwhatever bottom brackets but they're real people with a heart.”
