“The Element is wonderful. I have been here two times and so far a flawless experience! The rooms are wonderful and spacious with a great kitchenette a great touch. Next the breakfast, I have seen commercials about IHG breakfast and it turns out they are true! This was the best hotel breakfast I have found in this price range with options for everyone including a yogurt bar. I was feeling like the kids in the commercial if you know what I mean! Anyway my point is IHG please hire me for your commercial🤣😆”

“We had a stop over here on a roadtrip from AZ . Neville at the front desk was there to greet us. He was very warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. You just don’t get that kind of customer service anymore. This hotel is in a great location and has nice rooms. We stayed here a second time with a large group because of the great first experience we had staying there all because of Neville.”

“Staff is incredible and extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. I would recommend adding a small self service coffee/tea kiosk in the lobby for guests. Location was perfect, 5 minute walk through the tunnel into Old Sacramento. The whole area is very walkable. Room was very clean and the pool area is large with lots of covered seating which was nice. The fitness room is equipped very well. Highly recommend this hotel. AAA++++++”

“The building looked nice and the rooms were cleaned and spacey. It was great. Only thing about was, I had a room in the 4th floor, pulled the curtains apart from eachother and the only things you could see were old buildings and streets that were closed off. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay.. . with the curtains closed.”

“Had a wonderful experience!!! Late shift worker Sharron was amazing very nice to talk with explain things answer any questions just all in all amazing as well as Jim who took over the graveyard shift he was nice and eager to help with things needed thanks so much to Jim !! Another person who was amazing was are valet driver Antonio my husband is handicap an made it real easy for vehicle access a just very helpful had great customer service! All I can say is that’s the experience we were looking for stressless night away with my husband away teens kids to enjoy good service good people and good company!!! But nothing is perfect but was really a downer was the morning at breakfast in the pilot house and morning crew was a hole different experience breakfast not only did they not have things on the menu that were wanted an we looked forward too the waitress gabby was not very personal was kinda snappy an short just not very nice at all not only that we waited 15 min just too be seated with three other families waiting with only one family already seated the house cleaning lady finally had to go get her just get us seated don’t get me wrong she was the only waitress but even if your stressed or whatever it might be strong customer service goes along way with least trying to make up with the wait lack of food items that were on the menu but apparently don’t have I get we all have are bad days and she did do her job just not as a waitress should but just like we don’t bring work home we don’t bring bad attitudes or service to work as well more smiles and better tone an better attitude goes along way that’s for sure and the waitress gabby an morning crew didn’t have it !!! I bring my kids hear every year for breakfast with Santa and also look forward to staying here again but when it comes to breakfast an the service an for how different we were treated in the morning I can see how that can deter people away on returning!!! All in all great first day beautiful night great experience!!!very historic!!! But the morning was very disappointing and unfortunately could have been better an hopefully it helps for improvement”

“Our stay at the Kimpton Sawyer was phenomenal. Every single staff member that we encountered was so kind and friendly!!! Upon pulling up, the valet was incredibly helpful by getting our doors, offering luggage help, and setting our car up. The agent that checked us in, Nick, I believe, was very kind, easy to talk to, and gave us all the information we needed, without us even needing to ask! The accounting manager (I forgot her name sadly) at social hour was so sweet and fun to talk to! Then Emily, the morning agent was amazing and very helpful/generous as well. The surf and turf meal & the Korean drumsticks at Revival were soooo yummy. The mocktail at social hour was also a perfect refreshing summery drink, and the shrimp cocktail bite was a cherry on top. The gym was great and spacious. Our room was so impressive as well. Simple and SO clean in terms of both housekeeping and the design! All of the public areas we walked through were pristine, clean, & well kept. I work front desk at another Kimpton hotel, and I can’t lie that I feel like I have high standards when I visit other Kimptons, and this one met all of my expactations and more!! The location of this Kimpton is also perfect - very walkable, lively, clean, and right in the middle of many restaurants & bars. (Pro tip - if you’re visiting, you MUST take the 7-8 minute walk down the street to Burnside Coffee!!!! Best coffee shop I have ever visited and I’m a coffee snob. Their A2 whole milk lattes are to die for and their food is so clean, healthy, & delicious.) We cannot wait to be back at this Kimpton!!”

“I just had a short 2 day stay, but I will most definitely be staying here the next time I come through Sacramento. Very spacious room with full size fridge, microwave, dish washer, 2-burner stove, coffee maker and various cooking and eating/drinking supplies. Very comfortable bed and nice and quiet. The free breakfast in the morning is a nice added plus. Front counter folks are professional and very accommodating. Didn't get a chance to try it, but they have a pool and racquetball court as well as barbecues available to use.”

As someone that travels by Motorcycle, I look for certain conveniences in this place had it all. Plenty of food choices to walk to, an amazing outdoor pool and hot tub with long hours. And directly off the highway. Even when under construction, this place was fabulous. I do really appreciate how great the front desk staff was.”

“Stayed for the California State Fair - extremely close to the fairgrounds and very convenient. Staff were super kind and friendly at check in. We had a very clean room and I’m always grateful for a place that allows you to open the windows and get real air!!! Elevator didn’t work, which wasn’t a huge deal but I’ve noticed this pattern at Marriotts recently. A little TLC is needed for the basic amenities. Will stay here again though!”

My owner issue was the two morning ladies as they didn't seem very optimistic and everytime I had come down to ask questions or toilet paper, they just seemed like they didn't want to be there or were inconvenienced. The two night ladies however I encountered were just overall sweethearts The lady who checked us in the first night was an absolute dream. Such a kind woman. Overall, our stay was good. The rooms were very clean when we arrived. Could've wished for an extra roll of TP and towel but that's irrelevant. Overall, experience was wonderful”

“I like the service that they have when they when you get there and you check into your room. Like 30 minutes later, they'll call you make sure everything's okay with your room. I like that. Also, the other thing I like is the shampoos and conditioners in the shower but they are not in a secure container. So anybody could put anything in there. That's what I didn't like. I liked the idea but I don't like that. It's not in a secure container location. It's really bad, but what are you gonna do? It's Richard's boulevard, they're cleaning it up and it's taken a while. But hopefully it will get there a lot. Traffic noise better than that. It was okay a lot of in and out. But again, it's a hotel, what are you gonna do other than that? It was good could do better with the mattress other than that.I need a coffee maker in the room, and I would have gave him maybe five stars”
