“I needed my sram code brakes bled and Krakatoa bikes was the only shop out of all the Fairfax bike shops, that was willing to work on sram brakes and do it on the spot for me. Most other shops in Fairfax either told me they don’t want to bleed sram brakes because it’s a pain or gave me a long turn around time. Miguel from Krakatoa is such a nice, honest, hard worker, he is always willing to take on a job that the other shops don’t feel like doing.”

“Over the last 25 years, I have dropped in to The Village Peddler for service, retail parts and clothes and a tandem bike purchase. The pricing is transparent and fair and I have always found the bike shop service and repairs to be as good as it gets. The owner has been in the bike industry for decades and he hires solid employees.”
“The great thing about having a local bike shop is their connection to the community leads to better customer service and BB has that going just right. I was on a ride recently and my shifters were annoyingly a bit off. But my loop took me through downtown Novato so I stopped off at BB.
The shop was busy and Devin had several bikes in the repair shop. But he somehow remembered my name and immediately put my bike in a stand and fixed the problem. When I asked how much as I pulled out my CC he said there was no charge and to enjoy my ride. Now that’s customer service that draws return loyalty.
Note: On top of the customer service, they also have most of my favorite bike brands and to top it off a great selection of beers on tap! What more could you ask for in a bike shop?!!”
“We had a very great day riding the gravelbikes around San Francisco! The bikes were pretty good, the helmets were new (rentals! ??) and chrissy was really friendly, helpef us a lot, gave top recommendations. The rentsl price was really high though.. 120$ is too much for a one day rental. Not even in Moab or around Lake Tahoe the prices were that high.
