“Whole Foods (in our lovely Hillcrest neighborhood) has always been a delightful place for fresher produce compared to local markets. Yes, many of us know the prices of some of the items. Still, many of their items are well-thought-out regarding reducing our carbon footprint and being conscious of sustainable products - AND they have an Amazon pick-up/drop-off station! This specific Amazon station can take oversized packages that most lockers can't accommodate due to package size restrictions of the items being ordered (e.g., King Arthur's round table - I'm only kidding). So, when stranded with cabin fever from being cooped up in the house for a few days, take a light jacket and your derrière to Whole Foods and stroll. You might just be surprised by the things that you can find there.”

“Sprouts is a good place to go for some of the foods that you can't find at Vons or Ralphs. The produce is always good. There's an extensive selection of supplements that you won't find in the drug store or grocery store. Also an extensive selection of skin care that is typically less harmful than the products in traditional stores. This location has self check out. The parking lot is very busy at this location. If you happen to be here about 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM on weekdays Carmel Mountain Road becomes incredibly busy with people going to the freeway. I learned to avoid this area during those times. I usally to the Sprouts in Poway because it's not as busy.”

I find that produce generally is better quality here than at Trader Joe's and is usually cheaper. Shopping the sales and based on what's in season is where it's at! Love that they have the tags now. The deli is awesome, $5 sandwiches and $5 sushi (Wednesdays) is great for a grab and go meal.”
