“After one phone call - and a cold one at that- I couldn't be more impressed with John. Even after disclosing that I was already working with another broker (my best friend's nephew), he answered every question I threw at him. Questions I had asked at least six times now make sense. He also gave me advice on negotiating closing costs with my broker, which are thousands of dollars. The closing costs with John were zero - none - nada, he would cover them with a broker credit to me. Sometimes it's true that you shouldn't mix friends and business. I wish I hadn't in this case.
